The waterfront location of the property was nice and the new part of the hotel looks modern and comfortable. However, I was put in the old part of the hotel and it was very disappointing.

This place is also a camping site. The rooms are good and equipped. Campers will also find this place good( good pitching ground). The host ( a guy from Argentina) was a cool guy. He gave me tips to visit around the place. It has good opportunity for trekking and see the midnight sun. It sit right across Tengelfjord, so good opportunity for fishing and has mountains overlooking the lake. The view from my balcony was awesome. I would certainly recommend this place.

The host was very nice and helpful. The resident cat was awesome. The view was quite nice. We would definitely come back here in the winter to experience the aurora.

The dinner was the best we have had in Norway and it was wonderful to be one tiny part of preserving the history of such a beautiful place. We walked to the sculpture garden at our hosts recommendation and we were cozy inside while the wind blew and the sea crashed under the docking in the night.
