Nice and clean room with enough space. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was good too. We were at a concert at World Resorts Arena and stayed one night at the hotel. The location was not bad if you don't mind a 15-20min walk to the arena.

    Staff were friendly.

Staff were friendly. The lighting in the room was horrific and applying even eyeliner was a challenge with such. The beds were extremely uncomfortable none of us could actually sleep. The tea/coffee was very basic and there was no bottled water. The stench of sewage outside the building and in our bathrooms was very unwelcoming. There's no lift and I had to take 2 children and our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs to the family room.

This so called hotel is not a hotel but seemed like a working mens club with tacky rooms attached (possibly used for brothel purposes). The reception was the bar area. To get to the rooms you had to walk through a bar full of people in the bar and then through the pool room. The room itself was tiny, stank of smoke, was very basically decorated, the heater didn't work, no tea making facilities, just a dreadful room. The first thing I did was make a booking with another hotel and luckily got one despite it being Crufts. I left soon after arriving. That hotel was familiar with the reputation of the Minworth Lodge as offering dreadful accommodation. I paid good money for that room and the website is completely inaccurate - fraudulent even. Do not stay there!

Minworth Lodge is not HOTEL it is more like a working mens club. It was awful. We did not venture into Minworth itself as we were going to the NEC We should have stayed two nights but left after the first. We did not feel safe in the place as someone was trying to get into out room in the middle of the night. Could not speak to the owner as they did not answer their phone or reply to our messages

I visited the area to take my wife to a work event nearby, so this was just an overnight stay, cheap and cheerful / good value. The on site Breakfast was very good, although had to wait for the staff to come on duty to make it, so no early breakfast possible.

There is nothing to like at Macpherson lodge.

There is nothing to like at Macpherson lodge. The place is overally in dire need of repair to meet at least a good standard. The toilet foot is broken and moves about when you are busy sitting on it. The garden is covered in black sheet of plastic. The owner advertises the place as : good breakfast is included in this room rate and he doesn’t provide the breakfast, that’s pure dishonesty.

Liked · The only good thing we can find to say is that the room was ready within the requested timeslot. Disliked · I am not normally one for taking the trouble to leave good or bad reviews for anything, but as a venue offering accommodation this place was absolutely shocking ! The shower water temperature was scolding hot due to a broken / jammed temperature regulator. No shower / bath towels were supplied, only one hand towel each. There were no shelves, surfaces or coat hooks etc to put your things on or hang your clothes on in the Bathroom. No parking space had been allocated or made available to us as requested. Guests of two evening events at the Lodge completely ram packed all available parking leaving us no option but to park off grounds nearby...we then discovered our vehicle had been vandalised over night. Covid safety notices were on display everywhere, however, NONE of the staff (with the exception of one Barman) were wearing face masks & NO Covid safety enforcement was in operation that evening. Guests & Staff were also walking around the following morning without wearing face masks. On the evening we stayed the Lodge was over-run with England Football fans who spent a riotous evening crammed in a cigarette smoke filled bar. We witnessed table tops being hammered to death with wooden mallets as they chanted & we had to push our way through the bar area to get to our room. Don't expect a covid free good nights sleep if you stay here.
