Everything and everyone were super great. Very accommodating whether it’s early check in or late check out. Rates are extremely reasonable. I was celebrating my 60th bday so they upgraded us to a superior room and left me a very nice card in my room. It was really one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

This is a FAB location, near the waterfront, where there is so much to do and see. Near some great food as well. Our room was exactly as described and I found comfortable. The view of the harbor was lovely during the day and at night it was fun to see all the lights. The lift worked well and was quite quick.

Our daughter lives here now so she organized loads of good stuff. We have been in Summer and just now at Christmas. Vancouver is a fabulous mixture of city and park, beach and nearby spectacular scenery. pacific and mountains in easy reach plus all the benefits of a city. Is expensive though for eating out, theatre, music venues and museums and galleries. Not a lot is free beyond parks and nature. Public transport very cheap and accessible. The parks, Capilano suspension bridge, indigenous art and museums and Granville Island were all especially good. Huge range of shops if this is your scene. The temperature on the West coast is also mild (from a north European perspective) and Vancouver Island great to visit. I loved the city - especially in summer. We also took a day trip to Whistler and half day to Britannia copper mine museum on our winter visit.

North Vancouver is beautiful, fascinating, full of wonderful places to see, clean, not overly busy and just an absolutely fantastic place to stay. There is loads to do, especially if you enjoy being outdoors. We were a group of people with an age range of 25 to 83 and every single one of us loved the holiday.

West Vancouver is beautiful and natural with trees and ocean. I went to Pawan Indian Food and it was fantastic. The waiter was friendly and focused. The food was generous enough to take home food for another meal. First day of my trip I went for a relaxing facial at CUR’s Beauty Salon in Park Royal. I would like to live in North Vancouver! The road signs in West Vancouver are abundant and clear for an easy ride. For a solo I thought of visit a beach in West Vancouver but never made it.

This is a bedroom community.

This is a bedroom community. It is quiet and we respect that short term rentals can be a contentious issue so we kept noise to a minimum. But we are all in our 60s and in bed by 10pm, say no more... That said, we found the proximity to grocery store, gas station and yes, a beer/wine store, within walking distance very convenient. Please be respectful to your host and their neighbors, we intend to stay there again.

I did not spend much time in Richmond this trip, as I came in to see the Lene Lovich show at the Rickshaw theatre in Vancouver. I am however familiar with, and drawn to Richmond, particularly for it's diversity in both people and entertainment options.

I live in a nearby city, it was a weekend "escape" for New Years. I know Vancouver pretty well. even as a local I find Vancouver to be expensive and a bit boring in the winter months. this location is close to many restaurants and bars as well as nice walks along the beach front into Stanley Park

North Vancouver is cleaner and more outgoing than downtown area. Just about 5km to Capilano from this area. Lots of great restaurants and cafés at the Pier. Drinks and dinner at Joey’s, not too pricy and great presentation and taste of food. Easy access to downtown via SeaBus.

This place was awful from customer service from the host to the details on the posting. Felt like a scam the entire time I dealt with them because once I booked a non-refundable stay he had no incentive to care about me. Sam, the host, seems to be of the mindset that the more aggressive you are with your travelers the better. He was rude, inflexible and did nothing to make me, a single woman traveling alone, feel comfortable or safe. Sam was completely unwilling to refund any portion of my booking once I told him I was feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. When I booked this place I was under the impression that I had a small "beautiful house" to myself. A week before the booking I found out that it's a guest house, so it shared common spaces with other travelers. The description on the listing is vague enough that it is hard to tell what accommodations each level of guest has. I asked questions to find out more but he kept just referring me back to the listing. He evaded my questions that could have easily made me more comfortable such as "Is there a lock on the bedroom?" "How are security and noise handled?" "What are the shared spaces with other travelers like?" Ultimately he chose to stand tall on his non-refundable policy vs listening to and being empathic toward a unique situation in which someone was not feeling safe with the lack of information provided and newly learning that I'd be sharing space with strangers, including Sam. Booking.com was absolutely terrible to deal with as well. In the end I chose my safety over my money and lost the entire booking cost. Do not book here and do not use booking.com, they do not support their customers in a situation like this.

Burnaby is about a 20 minute metro ride from Vancouver centre. It's easy to get the metro from here. Good shops and places to eat. We liked Central Park - it has a running track around the outisde of the park and lots of paths to walk. A great green space in the city. We ate at a place called Earls and it was excellent. Great food and service.
