Everything and everyone were super great. Very accommodating whether it’s early check in or late check out. Rates are extremely reasonable. I was celebrating my 60th bday so they upgraded us to a superior room and left me a very nice card in my room. It was really one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

The staff are exceptional at their jobs. If the staff noticed me standing in line to be seen, another staff member would walk up to me and help me even if they weren't currently manning the front desk themselves. My daughter has a wheat and egg allergy, and the staff were helpful with options for her and checking in with the chefs. The food was all really well done. During dinner, they have someone singing live. The breakfast buffet for my six year old was 15 dollars, and for my three year old, it was free. They had festive lights up already, and it was overall a really nice experience.

Capilano suspension bridge is worth the effort to go. (free shuttle bus). Must do is the flyover - its touristy but well worth it. The German market was good, but not worth paying the admission price. Nice food options available. Granville island is a nice place to walk around. Have access to an umbrella - not too cold though in December.

North Vancouver is cleaner and more outgoing than downtown area. Just about 5km to Capilano from this area. Lots of great restaurants and cafés at the Pier. Drinks and dinner at Joey’s, not too pricy and great presentation and taste of food. Easy access to downtown via SeaBus.

West Vancouver is beautiful and natural with trees and ocean. I went to Pawan Indian Food and it was fantastic. The waiter was friendly and focused. The food was generous enough to take home food for another meal. First day of my trip I went for a relaxing facial at CUR’s Beauty Salon in Park Royal. I would like to live in North Vancouver! The road signs in West Vancouver are abundant and clear for an easy ride. For a solo I thought of visit a beach in West Vancouver but never made it.

This is a bedroom community.

This is a bedroom community. It is quiet and we respect that short term rentals can be a contentious issue so we kept noise to a minimum. But we are all in our 60s and in bed by 10pm, say no more... That said, we found the proximity to grocery store, gas station and yes, a beer/wine store, within walking distance very convenient. Please be respectful to your host and their neighbors, we intend to stay there again.

I did not spend much time in Richmond this trip, as I came in to see the Lene Lovich show at the Rickshaw theatre in Vancouver. I am however familiar with, and drawn to Richmond, particularly for it's diversity in both people and entertainment options.

I arrived on Sunday. Took the skytrain to downtown. So simple. Found my hotel, got settled and went exploring. Hockey game on Monday night was excellent. Vancouver lookout also fantastic. Walked and explored more of Granville Island and seawall, Stanley Park. Tuesday we took a seaplane sightseeing tour and trip to Capilano Bridge. I highly recommend this. Ice skating at Robson Square, so awesome. Supper at Joey Burrard excellent steak and lobster. Gastown, see the steamclock, explored the area. Safe walking around even at 1 am. Wednesday lots of rain, still went for excellent shwarma meal. Skytrain to airport. Simple again. Transit is quick efficient and easy to use. I had an amazing adventure in this wonderful city. I highly recommend Vancouver to anyone.

North Vancouver is a very relaxing place to drive around away from downtown because of the traffic. Suspension bridge is the best place to visit, some of the parks are great too like the spin needle. Our stay was shoert so didn't have enough time to visit other places.

This place was awful from customer service from the host to the details on the posting. Felt like a scam the entire time I dealt with them because once I booked a non-refundable stay he had no incentive to care about me. Sam, the host, seems to be of the mindset that the more aggressive you are with your travelers the better. He was rude, inflexible and did nothing to make me, a single woman traveling alone, feel comfortable or safe. Sam was completely unwilling to refund any portion of my booking once I told him I was feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. When I booked this place I was under the impression that I had a small "beautiful house" to myself. A week before the booking I found out that it's a guest house, so it shared common spaces with other travelers. The description on the listing is vague enough that it is hard to tell what accommodations each level of guest has. I asked questions to find out more but he kept just referring me back to the listing. He evaded my questions that could have easily made me more comfortable such as "Is there a lock on the bedroom?" "How are security and noise handled?" "What are the shared spaces with other travelers like?" Ultimately he chose to stand tall on his non-refundable policy vs listening to and being empathic toward a unique situation in which someone was not feeling safe with the lack of information provided and newly learning that I'd be sharing space with strangers, including Sam. Booking.com was absolutely terrible to deal with as well. In the end I chose my safety over my money and lost the entire booking cost. Do not book here and do not use booking.com, they do not support their customers in a situation like this.

Burnaby is about a 20 minute metro ride from Vancouver centre. It's easy to get the metro from here. Good shops and places to eat. We liked Central Park - it has a running track around the outisde of the park and lots of paths to walk. A great green space in the city. We ate at a place called Earls and it was excellent. Great food and service.
