Beautiful small hotel with a very nice and helpful owner. The room was big, cozy, well sound-proofed. The bathroom was outside of the room but private. Everything was immaculately clean. FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are the city’s two official languages, so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up at Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze, aptly named Manneken Pis statue or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussels's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your trip to Brussels.

    Fun city to visit.

Fun city to visit. Beautiful architecture, delicious chocolates, gorgeous smaller places around Brussels - Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp. One thing to be cautious about - watch out for pick pocketers. My cell phone was taken in broad daylight after I got off the train and was walking thru the station. Thankfully I noticed it right away and was able to get it back.

Brussels city centre itself is pretty.

Brussels city centre itself is pretty. But the second you leave the city centre it is horrific, rubbish thrown on every pavement, a lingering smell of rubbish and hundreds of homeless people. The "sights" to see take about 1 hour so my advice skip Brussels. It's overrated and we would not return for safety reasons

Brussels is a city that can easily be explored on foot, but it also has a very efficient public transport network with buses, trams, metro, and trains. The main airport is well connected with a direct line to the city, while reaching Charleroi airport from the center requires several changes. As the European capital, Brussels offers many monuments and historical attractions that reflect the history of Europe. The food is very good, and Belgian beer is, as expected, excellent. On the downside, the city is unfortunately quite dirty, even in central and tourist areas, and there is a constant unpleasant smell of urine in many places. Overall, Brussels is an interesting city worth visiting, especially for its history, culture, and gastronomy, despite some aspects that could definitely be improved.

Gorgeous city with plenty of sites and activities to do if you stay for leisure or business. We had a great time on a short-trip. Our favourite place in Brussels was the mini-Europe village. We also went up the atominium expo building, which was quite fun. Some lovely places to eat near the hotel and be sure to try the moules and frites. They are a must for first timers.

Be prepared to pay for visits to the toilet.

Be prepared to pay for visits to the toilet. City maps cost €1 at the tourist office. A first for us. Very little English translations of the French & Flemish announcements on the trains and train stations. We could not find a ticket office with a human presence at Central Station. Brussels has a lot to offer. Amazing buildings, with loads of character, even the modern buildings were impressive. I loved the beer !!!! Such a selection. Spoiled for choice and you didn't have to go very far, bars and restaurants everywhere. Lots of things and places to see. Just a short train journey to Brugges, Ghent & Antwerp.

This is a lovely place, perfectly comfortable and completely unpretentious. Nothing fancy but the ethos of the Institute is not about that anyway. Simple rooms over a garden of trees out the window. It's quiet and restful, and if you are happy to walk it isn't far from Brussels Centraal and so the museums, Grand Place, etc. (If not, there is a bus stop around the corner and Madou metro station up the street). It was a third cheaper than the best of the cheaper hotels I could find for the same dates. I would stay there again.

The place was very close to the city center and train station. The room was clean and well-designed. The hotel had one of the best breakfasts by European standards. I'd like to specially mention Lorena and Andrea, they helped out with every issue and were very friendly. They were efficiently talking in English and Spanish aside from French which is rare in most parts of Belgium. If I ever visit Brussels again I'll definitely will be staying here.

Great location centrally located and close to Central Station, Grand place and all of the tourist sites including the Montes Des Artes. This hotel had the best service we had in Brussels, both at Chutneys and the Rooftop at. We Loved the rooftop “Secret Bar”, and have to give a special mention to Ashraf for going above and beyond to give us good service. Rooms have been refurbished but still are a little dated / tired.

Great hotel in a nice location. Close to the Brussels-Midi train station, lots of shops and restaurants nearby and close to the city center and many sights. The room is spacious and clean, good ventilation and heating, comfy bed and mattress. There was everything I needed in the room. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The breakfast buffet is okay but could be better and more variety for that price.
