Great location in the old city. Beautiful rooftop pool and Jacuzzi. There are only about 7 rooms in the entire hotel, so the pool is not busy. We were allowed to check in early when we arrived at 11am, and they let us check out an hour and a half late. Thanks Jose!!!! Fantastic showers and AC in the rooms. Breakfast was good. Includes a plate of fruit and then one item from the main menu ( pancakes, waffles, eggs, granola, etc). The regular coffee wasn't great so we ordered latte's which are extra (3usd) but we weren't charged for them in the end. Great bed and pillows. I would say good value, not great value, since we paid about 200$ a night, so the hotel wasn't cheap and we expected this level of service and quality.

A vibrant town that parties til late.

A vibrant town that parties til late. Lots of shops and restaurants. 3 days was the right amount of time. Prices can be high in shops and restaurants as it’s a popular cruise stop. Everyone is hustling selling stuff inc raps! But just be sensible and you should enjoy your time. Free walking tour was great and got to see more than just the old town with guide Legacy from n experience via guru walks.

The city and their people are wonderful. Very interesting historical places and places to have fun. Driving in the city is not as bad as in Medellin, motorcycles are crazy and it seems like they don’t respect the traffic regulations. Cartagena was different.

    Firstly the people!

Firstly the people! They are very warm and welcome foreigners with open arms. The music was amazing! The city is vibrant and the coloured buildings are beautiful. Everything is so lively. The local street dancers and artists just add to this amazing city! The fact that the beach runs parallel to the beach is also a great attraction.

Cartagena is a beautiful city filled with vibrant culture.

Cartagena is a beautiful city filled with vibrant culture. I not once felt unsafe here. The food, the people, the music, everything was great. I had a memorable time in Cartagena and I can’t wait to go back. I Ubered everywhere, which is a very cheap option and I felt a bit safer doing this than taking a taxi as I don’t speak the language. I recommend doing one of the free waking tours around the city, you gain a wealth of knowledge on the history of the city as well as getting an idea of where to go. I did a coffee tasting experience and an ATV tour on terra bomba which was incredible, you can find these activities and more on “get your guide”. Also a great way to meet people if you’re travelling alone.

The city of Cartagena was wonderful. It was full of culture. I enjoyed walking the streets of the walled city, Getsemaní, and the surrounding areas. I felt safe while doing so. The locals were very friendly. Some people trying to make money or sell items were a little pushy but not over the top. Restaurants were delightful. Wait staff were friendly and accommodating. Anyone was willing to help out the tourists if they could. Let restaurant in Bocagrande was excellent.

Its a beautiful city and we enjoyed walking the streets in the walled city at night and listening to the street performers. Its magical looking out from a rooftop terrace or the top of the wall. I would not recommend the boat ride to the Rosario islands as it was geared more to a party crowd and we spent lots of time on the boat waiting to park somewhere. We were only given a limited time at each spot. I would recommend researching these tours more than we did.

The hotel is located in a really good position in the Getsemani hood very close to the city center and in a street full of restaurants and other shops. The hotel is really nice and the room as well is great and clean. The staff is kind and even if they don't have the option for the breakfast you can find free drinks such as coffe and thè, and also some cookies. Absolutely recommended for a great stay in Cartagena de Indias

As many other have mentioned this is a very lovely hotel located in a perfect location to explore the old city of Cartagena. The Hotel is clean, near everything and very charming. Breakfast were good and the rooftop pool was very refreshing after strolling the streets of the old city. Staff was very helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Perfect location too, very convenient with a mall right by the hotel if you need to buy anything and about a 15min walk to the old city centre with many cool restaurants and bars (we felt safe walking both during the day and at night).
