Cahuita is a hidden gem.
Cahuita is a hidden gem. It’s a small, quiet peaceful place to stay that is near to Puerto Viejo, but without the noise. The beaches and wildlife were wonderful, and we loved visiting Cahuita National Park. There is a bus stop in Cahuita which goes to Puerta Viejo. We loved eating at many of the local restaurants. Cahuita has not yet been commercialized. There are souvenir shops, but it is mainly untouched and undeveloped. Pool was amazing, as was the setting and garden. Rooms were simple, but very clean & had a TV with Netflix on which was great for rainy days. Our favourite place to eat was Soda Kawe. The beaches in the national park were truly amazing and it's easy to make a day out of walking in the park. The hotel was only about 15 mins away from the entrance.
