the hotel lies in a hill overseeing the lake with hiking trails going in and out to the mountains from it. The Spa was great as well as the dining experience in their restaurant. We visited for our honeymoon and the staff left a very special detail in our room which was very much appreciated.

One of the most charming hotels I have ever stayed at! Gorgeous views, luxurious rooms with creative local decor, exceptional food and service - yet it all felt cozy and welcoming. Small touches like fresh fruit and brass keys instead of those hideous cards made it extra special. The dinner was one of the best we had in all of Germany, and the breakfast buffet with homemade breads and yogurts was wonderful. Loved that it was dog-friendly, even though our dog was not with us. The goats (sheep?) grazing on the pasture directly behind the hotel were the perfect Alpine touch. The entire family loved our time here.

Very convenient location. Nice breakfast choices, both hot and cold. Cute biergarten right outside on the weekend. Lake ferry stop just across the street. If you don't need your room serviced the next day, tell the front desk and they give you a 4 euro coupon to use at the bar/restaurant.

    Small town, quite busy. Surprising few restaurants! We ate in same Ristorante Trastevere two nights. Good. Nice lake in which you can swim. Early August temperature was fine. Pleasant boat trip to, and walk through, Bad Wiessee. Hotel Caro & Selig is well located though quite expensive.

    Best gateway if you are leaving nearby munich, really beautiful and nice and definitely not spoiled with influx of tourists. Destination is well connected, one can take direct train from munich central station and reach there in about an hour.

    The Hotel is amazing. It is really comfortable and nice.

    The Hotel is amazing. It is really comfortable and nice. We spend our wedding night in October 2019 there and we were really happy and had a great experience. Sadly, when we decided to come back this time with our 1 year daughter we had a very different (bad) experience. The Hotel is definitely not friendly for kids. After giving it a lot of thought we decided to stay one night at the hotel, mainly because of the amazing pool. Check-In is at 15:00h and Check-out at 12:00. When we got there, it turned out that kids are not allowed in the pool after 14:00h. So we couldn't use the pool the first day and the second day we only got to be in the pool just a couple of hours . - No one told us about the pool regulations although I called and said I was traveling with a kid. I just hope that they put this information more explicitly and accessible at their web page so parents know the implications of traveling with kids. Amazing Hotel but definitely not for traveling with children.

    The hotel was beautiful and, for us, in a perfect location close to town (albeit up a reasonably steep hill). The roof top bar overlooking the lake was stunning. Breakfast selection was fabulous and the 2 staff members on duty were kind and helpful albeit the breakfast service in general seemed under-staffed. Having a 12:00 check out on Saturdays was amazing! We stayed for my son's birthday and the hotel had left balloons and a cake in his room for our arrival - very much appreciated.

    I went to Seehotel Luitpold for my birthday. The staff were so kind that they allowed an early check-in and gave us a superb room with an amazing view. The room was spacious and incredibly clean. The breakfast was also delicious with good variety. One of the best places I have ever stayed. Would definitely go again. Thank you!
