What Guests Said About Aberdour:

Scored out of 10, guest rating 10

Aberdour is a lovely tiny village.

Aberdour is a lovely tiny village. It has many nature walks, coastal paths, at least two beautiful beaches, a golf course, cycle paths, walking paths inland over countryside... It has one smallish supermarket, a well-stocked village shop and a really good deli. It has a train station and Edinburgh is 30 minutes away by train. There are several cafes and pubs but no takeaways that we found, and a clothes shop and a couple of gift shops. For more facilities you need to go to nearby towns a couple of miles away, Dalgety Bay or Burntisland.

The historical feeling of the village, no take aways and litter etc. Just a very pleasant and well kept village roughly half an hour from Edinburgh by frequent train. Close to the beautifully kept station and lovely walks along the coast and countryside. Small local supermarket and the odd cafe but the hotel does evening meals etc too.

Good central location. Aberdour itself is quite quiet but loads to do and see in the surrounding fishing villages. A really good location for golfers looking to play links courses at a reasonable price

a lovely village with interesting church, castle and gardens, even a train station for quick access to Edinburgh, Perth, etc. Would have liked more time there as spent one day doing the nearby Dalmeny trail half marathon.

The cottage was beautiful and tastefully decorated.

The cottage was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is on ground floor with a large walk-in shower There is a sea view from the bedroom window, parking at the front door and a sort walk to the beach. There are a few shops in the village - post office, a deli and gift shop. The train station to Edinburgh is a five minute walk. The whole stay was perfect.

We hired the hotel for our wedding. The space was fantastic for our group of 24. John (owner) was extremely helpful and helped us to contact local business owners and went over and above to help make the prep on the run up to the day as smooth as possible. We had a fantastic stay and we absolutely loved using the different areas for different parts of our day. Thank you!

Location is wonderful. Just a couple of minutes walk from the beach, in the quiet village of Aberdour, and just 5 minutes walk to the station with train direct to Edinburgh. We loved the seaview from the the living room and terrace. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished throughout, and very comfortable to stay in.
