Featuring a garden, terrace, and a shared kitchen, Edgware B&B offers carpeted rooms with free WiFi in Edgware, 12 miles from the center of London. I’m not often left speechless, but Edgware B&B is… different. This was certainly one of my more memorable (read: most extraordinarily bizarre) boarding experiences. The good: Our rooms had walls and beds and doors that locked*. The house had a pleasant garden. The bad: The overwhelming, overpowering smell. The room was the size of a spacious cupboard (the small single bed touched both walls). It gets worse: We were not asked for ID, or even our names upon “check-in”… we parked in a driveway, walked into the garden, asked a red-eyed, sleepy looking man if this was Edgware B&B and were led down a long winding route through another garden and back yard to get to our rooms one house down. The next morning we wondered briefly whether we should check-out of our rooms – but how could we check-out, when we hadn’t even checked-in?! This is mind-boggling: There was talcum powder (I HOPE) everywhere. A random Rastafarian man in the corridor who was clearly torn between helping me remember the code to my room (bless), and not wanting to let on that he knows the code to my room. A young unaccompanied child running between houses. *The fact the rooms had code-locks was comforting. The fact that somebody in the building (unclear whether tenant, staff, wondering stranger, or “supplier” of sorts) clearly knew said codes, was not (see: This is mind-boggling, above).

Just 4 miles from the historic Wembley Stadium, this guesthouse has free Wi-Fi throughout the property and free parking on site. Spotless, warm, excellent finish, great shower, friendly welcome, allowed me to leave my car on the drive while I spent the day in London
Awful hotel the room was falling apart, broken bed made sqeeky noise the whole night I couldn't sleep at all, stinky bed sheets they felt like used n dirty and smelly, the wall paper of the room was all ripped door that kept making noise with wind horriable hotel .
Checked in on the Saturday for 2 nights & checking in was quick & easy. Room was on ground floor had trouble getting in the door at first, staff sorted it straight away & no trouble after. Room was abit dated but was clean with tea / coffee making falicities & shortbread cookies. Was a warm weekend so room temperature was too warm on a night & didn't have air conditioning & the window only opened 6 inches, asked for a fan & got one. Breakfast was buffet style with good choice even for a veggie for me. Would stay again as was ideal for getting the local transport into London.
Lovely area friendly people there seeems to be a sense of community it's not just a London suburb with no charm. We visit as our daughter has moved to work there and we have no problem in finding good accommodation or places to eat . The train station is easily accessible and in under half an hour you are in the centre of London. It's got nice housing and leafy streets . Feels pleasant and safe . Can recommend the Glenylyn hotel on Woodside Park road .... station is at the end of the street .... and we had great meal at Chix Chou on high street . Lots of choice .
I ate in the hotel breakfast was poor, I'm not sure how you can get bacon and eggs wrong but they did! The waitress was a bit weird and swore a lot!! Evening meals were nicer and evening staff were nicer too
I think that is necessary a gooyplace nearby to have a good breakfast. And v it’s needed urgently a traffic light for pedestrians to walk to the comercial center in the High Road. In East Finchley there are lots of restaurants. There are really wonderful parks for walking, to visit is interesante Marx’s grave and the las house were lived Sigmund Freud his last years.
Torn Carpet. Extra mattress extremely uncomfortable. booked for 3 persons we all have to sleep on two adjoining beds. One tea cup for 3 persons. No glasses available in room to drink water, not enough tea bags provided for 3 persons. No closet to hang clothes. No socket on bedside for mobile phone charging. i had to request the second day that room should be cleaned and we need fresh towels, not even emptied the dustbins when we came back in the evening. I will not be staying at this property again
Barnet
This property is spacious and clean. We were a group of 6 adults and 1 teenager and we were all comfortable. One of the 3 bedrooms has a bunk bed. The staff was very professional and helpful. It’s fairly close to the tube. To get to the city center on the tube is about a 40 min ride. The apartment is very close to some markets and restaurants if you choose to cook in the nice new kitchen or just stay close. Overall we felt it was a great value and would consider staying here again for our next visit to London.
Barnet
The reception was friendly, the room was very clean, warm and was ensuite, to a high standard and the beds were very comfortable. The director let us leave our car on the drive while we went into London before our departure. You don't get breakfast but there is a Morrisons 5 minutes walk away. The tube station is also 5 minutes walk away. If you are a light sleeper you can hear the tube trains but it didn't bother us
Easy to get to at London North Gateway (ie Scratchwood) Services with free parking at the Hotel-but remember to key in your car Reg at Reception. I had intended visiting London but a bad back confined me to Hotel and Service Station, but I still enjoyed the stay. Good bar and Lounge: had GFloor room by request, but there were lifts to all floors.

It’s really like be at home. Quiet area, comfortable bed, clean house everywhere. Love to be here at breakfast time talking and sharing with other guests and host. Nick is a really warm host, treats every guest nicely and takes care of each one. Really nice to have him here everyday like a family. Definitely recommend it much!
Finchley, Barnet
I liked the accommodation and the staff, The location for us was excellent as it was near my son's flat. The room (room 2) was bigger than I thought it would be, it was en suite and very clean. I thought it was really good value in comparison to other hotels in the area. the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our 2 night stay
Hotel is very traditional in decor if a little tired! However, staff were excellent and the breakfast was great. Hotel ideally located for my business trip to London.
Our stay was comfortable and very restful after busy days in the city. A very clean, quiet place to stay. Highly recommend!
The hotel was perfect in every way.. Staff excellent, room had everything you could imagine
