Eyemouth has a charm all of its own.
Eyemouth has a charm all of its own. The people I met were all very friendly and helpful, The "resident" seals were an added bonus, and getting to feed them was a real joy. You can get a really good Hot Kipper Roll at the same time, or any other seafood treat of choice. Lots of walking paths in and around surrounding areas. It was a lovely place, a step back in time where everyone is friendly, the place is quaint and there’s everything you need from small shops like a local bakery etc, no big shopping centre, and that’s the way it should stay. Eyemouth is a small town, set. in the Berwickshire countryside. Eyemouth per-se has a pleasant harbour, with seals, and bird-life along the cliffs and on the sea. The nearby attractions are St Abbs nature reserve, and Berwick-on-Tweed just over the border ( a 20min bus-ride from Eyemouth Centre ). Other than that one should expect to travel much further to see other attractions, so expect to drive. Eyemouth itself has relatively few restaurants and Cafés, and of those the Ship stands out for an excellent and interesting menu at very reasonable prices.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
It is an old town with pretty wynds and old houses.
It is an old town with pretty wynds and old houses. I was there on a Saturday evening and Sunday so the shops were not open but a number of places to eat were. Everyone was very friendly and in the evening after dark as a woman alone, I felt quite safe there. the harbour is a delight as it is still a working place and not just a museum. I was visiting family so did not enter any of the 'amusements though I noticed that Guns Green house was closed for refurbishment.Guest review byStaveley - 10.0

Eyemouth is a beautiful little seaside town,with everything you need in town,co-op,bakery,chemist,newsagent,community centre(with swimming pool),Chinese Restaurants,chip shop,cafe,Indian restaurant,charity shop,and harbourside restaurants,with The Ship being my recommendation,as The fish and chips were huge portions(we called it a blue whale supper)but managed to eat it.
