An Absolutely Divine Respite – A True Gem! From the moment I stepped into this property, I was utterly captivated. It is stunningly beautiful in every detail, and even during a hot June, the interior remained perfectly cool and comfortable – a true haven from the summer heat. Every aspect of this place is so thoughtfully curated and exceptionally well-equipped, it truly felt like a profound gift of respite in a life that, all too often, is filled with challenges. I genuinely did not want to leave. The commitment to quality here is evident in every touch. The sheets were wonderfully new and of a very high standard, and the pillows were the perfect combination of fluffy and firm. Even the decorative pillows in the living room spoke volumes of the care invested, being of exquisite quality. The furniture throughout is genuinely high-end, a refreshing departure from the typical, hastily assembled, profit-driven decor so often found elsewhere. This is clearly a place where heart and soul have been poured into creating a superior experience. Fara, the host, is simply exceptional. She was incredibly responsive and demonstrated immense generosity, not only with her time but with all the thoughtful amenities and the impeccable standard she has established for this property. This place stands as a fine example of what is truly possible when people genuinely care about others and dedicate their hearts to offering a space of profound comfort to travelers. For me, personally, it was a clean and heavenly gift of grace on what often feels like a dusty and obstacle-ridden path. My gratitude is immeasurable. Thank you, Fara, and every single person involved in bringing this extraordinary place together. May God bless you and yours eternally for this magnificent offering.

We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history.

We did not see a lot of the town, which has a long history. There are some interesting and beautiful places to visit within easy reach: National Trust places to recommend are Hughenden Manor, Cliveden, and Greys Court. Other places are The Chiltern Hills, the Coombe Hill Monument, The Hell-Fire Caves and many more. The town has a good museum, and parks, and is not far from beautiful spots on the Thames such as Henley, Marlow, Maidenhead etc. And the walking around is on well-marked paths.

We booked the Hampton by Hilton for location as it’s 10 minutes drive from Buckinghamshire new university, or 40 minute walk, The Eden shopping centre is 5 minutes in the car with plenty of cafes ,shops and cinema and games arcade and bowling arcade, There are more shops and pubs outside the shopping centre where there is a Wetherspoons pub and a few other pubs and clubs Lots to do in the area, would definitely recommend for university moving in weekend.

It was a lovely little town that felt almost sea side like. Everyone we interacted with were friendly and there were some really great food and drink options. A day trip to Marlow was also great, as was the park with the National Trust house. We only stayed a couple of days but could have stayed longer to explore further.

High Wycombe has one redeeming feature, you get to leave it. Luckily the Hamptom is at the top of the hill and has a great Waitrose next to it, far away from the town centre. Living local (ish) Wycombe has always been a hell hole.

It was comfortable and clean. We booked it as it was near Legoland but we also ended up doing a sightseeing tour in London. We were a 10-minute walk from the High Wycombe train station which had a direct line to Marylebone Station. There was a hop-on on hop-off station, at Marylebone so actually a perfect place for that too! We also walked into town and there were loads of restaurants to eat at - Wagamma, Nando's, Pizza Express. Very pleasant stay. ,

The staff at Abbey Lodge hotel are always friendly and welcoming, the bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. There was a full English breakfast provided (nice, soft scrambled eggs and tasty mushrooms), plus yogurt and cereals. This is a basic hotel, perfect for a short stay if you just need somewhere to crash rather than looking for luxury!

The hotel has a fresh, friendly interior and atmosphere. It's mainly popular for business travellers. Breakfast is fine, the variety focuses on English breakfast. The breakfast lady is really kind and helpful. The room is quite comfortable with a huge TV set.

It was just under half the price of the main chain hotels, and whilst the walls were a little thin, it was a room with a bed, and working shower, bath and everything else you would expect from a property
