Marlow
Located in Marlow in the Buckinghamshire region, Marlow's Emerald 3 Bedroom House features a terrace and mountain views. The hosts were very contactable and remained so for the duration of the trip. The house was very homely yet impersonal. I always find it a bit strange to stay in someone's house when they have lots of photos up. This is a home designed for travelers with everything you need. I loved that they had coffee, tea, milk and tooth brushes on hand. The beds were comfy, the wifi was easily accessible and the house was lovely and warm.
Very pretty town. Lots of nice quality shops and boutiques, and a few interesting art galleries. Lovely walks along the riverside Excellent choice of restaurants, bars and cafés Stayed at The Complete Angler which I would definitely recommend for location, breakfast and facilities - a few minutes stroll over the bridge into town and free parking on site. We ate dinner at The Ivy which was recommended and didn’t disappoint!
Marlow is a pretty town with lots of fabulous places to eat and drink. A town walk is a must to appreciate what's on offer. We travelled to London by train during our visit which took an hour. The station is less than a 10 minute walk from the High Street. We ate at Suum, Vietnamese food to die for with excellent service too. We visited the Bar Tap & Grill and chose a cut of sirloin recommended by the butcher, which was then cooked to our liking - perfect.
The town has a unique but fun vibe and you are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink especially the Two Brewers. The Church and the river views are amazing and a visit to the Rebellion Brewery is a must!
The hotel is situated on an industrial site which keeps the price down, don't be put off by that as you can walk in to Marlow along the river. We have stayed there numerous times now. It has a new outdoor playground and a baby pool indoors.
Great check in staff, fab facilities. Pool 1.2m all way for kids, beautiful food although pricey. Room lovely and clean and so comfy but could hear everything from adjoining fanily room. Long wait for vegan options info in restaurant. Drop box for check out needed as queue ridiculous
Lovely little town. Ate in Cote Brasserie with very friendly, polite staff. Also ate in Marlow Grill and had a fantastic meal, again, very polite and friendly staff. Very easy to walk round and nice to have shopping streets instead of massive shopping centres. Lovely views of the river. Would avoid the Crowne Plaza.
What a lovely quirky boutique hotel. Keyless entry made check in extremely easy. Great communication prior to the stay. Tina nurtured us throughout our stay, providing us with a lovely breakfast and a reassuring discreet availability. Very comfortable bed in a room with many thoughtful touches.
I left my ear pods behind and trying to get through to the hotel has been a nightmare but I managed to get through 3 times and each time they said I would get a call back and each time no call absolutely bad service I even asked for the manager to call me…
IMy friends birthday and she was made to feel very special on this day due to members of staff going that extra mile to make this happen. Thank you to every member of staff that were on in the hotel on Saturday evening through to Sunday morning.
I had booked a room for my parents as part of our menu tasting experience for our upcoming wedding at The Compleat Angler. The staff made sure that we were well looked after from start to finish, the room upgrade was really appreciated!
