Located in Shipston on Stor, The Lazy Pug offers a bar. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. I cannot recommend the Lazy Pug enough, it really exceeded expectations. The staff were so kind and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were able to check in early which was great as we were off to a wedding later in the day, and check in and out was really straight forward with a key card to access the hotel in the evening. The rooms are beautifully decorated, well equipped, clean and comfortable. They have tea and coffee making facilities, a mini bar, netflix on the tv, as well as all the essentials you might need. From speaking to others, our accommodation was also good value for the area. We would really recommend staying here, particularly for nearby weddings (in which case prebook your taxis!) but would also stay here again if on a trip away as it was so lovely.

An enchanting building in a brilliant location, right by the river, so handy for a few steps into town and restaurants, and very easy to find. Charming and spacious room, well fitted, and a lovely big bathroom. Fresh milk in the fridge, along with a bottle of water. Very pleasant proprietress, unobtrusive and trusting of her guests. Everything low-key, and so relaxing. Fabulous breakfasts. Onsite car park. Genuinely faultless.

Room was beautifully decorated and whole experience here felt really premium. Staff were very attentive and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious and a great choice there too. I'm sure we'll be staying here again soon!

We were 3 generations of family traveling to the area for a wedding. We had two rooms opposite each other behind their own lobby door which was very convenient. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Each had its own bath or shower. The room over looking the front of the street below had lovely chairs and a table to sit and watch the world go by. The floors were quite uneven and sometimes felt like you were on a boat but I love the quaint old features of these type of premises. A delicious hot Breakfast was served by a lovely lady and nothing was too much trouble. Ample tea coffee and toast with extra servings offered. Cereal and Juices also available. Breakfast time was of our own choice booked the night before. When we came in quite late from meeting family in the evening and wondered if we’d be able to get back in easily but the pub was busy and seemed like the place to be on a Friday night and everyone was friendly and welcoming. This in no way interfered with our stay and we couldn’t hear other customers downstairs. We were on the first floor.
