We arrived after a very long and busy day and the staff was really helpful with the check-in. We decided to eat at the restaurant and we had a very good meal. Room was spacious and comfortable for the entire family of 4. Recommended! Breakfast was good and included a continental breakfast.

Located between Reading and Basingstoke, this charming 17th-century manor house, set in 35 acres of tranquil parkland on the Hampshire border, offers scenic views and free Wi-Fi access. I decided to treat myself and upgrade my room and they put me in one of their signature rooms which happened to be the bridal suite. Oh my word I have never seen just an amazing room in all my life with beautiful bay windows like something straight out of a Jane Austen novel. The dinner and especially the breakfast was amazing. The views from the bedroom were amazing.

This romantic country house with stunning gardens has a health spa, swimming pools and a tennis court. We stayed in the main house and this made our stay exceptional. The food as always was of the highest standard. The heated outdoor is a unique feature and this together with the extensive gardens and trails for walking and cycling make this stay everything that anyone could ask for. The staff are excellent, attentive and courteous.
Hook
This charming grade II listed Georgian country house is set in landscaped gardens, 10 minutes’ walk from the center of Hook. Location for what we needed was ideal. Property was very clean, tidy and breakfast was delicious. We grew up locally now living in the states, so was familiar with the location. We will use again
Hook
Located in the small village of South Warnborough and just 15 minutes from the home of Jane Austen, is The Poacher Inn. I like everything about The Poacher, but especially the people who worked there, and particularly the managers: Jayne and Jon. Terrific people who went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I stayed in four other inns during this trip, and my stay at The Poacher was, by far, the nicest.
Hook
Located in Hook, Cherry Lodge has a garden. The guesthouse provides both free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was sparkling clean, the floors, bathroom, even shower doors, windowsills and the bedding was pristine. We did wonder about do it yourself breakfast but it was so easy, so much variety of cereal each separately funelled into our bowls, fruit, yoghurt, bread, butter, marmalades and spreads with fresh coffee and tea. We both slept soundly and comfortably, room good size, tea, coffee biscuits, TV excellent desk to work on and even a highly efficient fan. Well done you've thought of everything, thank you.

Great location. We love walking and there are several really good hikes from Hook. Hook is an ideal centre for many other visits e.g. the historic town of Farnham, the National Trust property at The Vyne and the pretty village of Odiham.
Hook is a nice village with ample facilities for visitors. The area is rich in countryside and pursuits. It has a railway station link to London and is the ideal place and relax. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and eat rather too well so back on the diet this week.
Small town, easy to walk around. Local pubs serving food and sports on TV, within walking distance of each other. Take away food, fish and chips. Good Indian restaurant, excellent meal with good service. Small supermarket . Easy access to buses and Railway station. Good base for countryside walking.
Very beautiful grounds hotel needs up dating as same things have seen better days and for a 4 star it’s not in my eyes we payed a lot of money for are stay The bar prices very expensive and for a add on 10% went you go to the bar is not right
Just a small village on the London Road with excellent leisure areas, shops sufficient for every day needs and some pubs. We chose it as a base to access the Southern Area of Reading to meet up with friends without having to negotiate a large amount of traffic. Lovely villages around, easily accessible. Would recommend a visit to the lovely West Green House Gardens close by and The Whitchurch Silk Museum which was fascinating.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants near by, The White Lion Antique centre is a great place to visit huge place and fabulous amount of stock plus good restaurant. .Tylney Hall and 4 Seasons Hotel very close by.
Compared to other Shepherd Huts which can be quite cosy in size, Willowbank is much bigger without compromising on comfort or cosiness. The spacious bed and shower provide hotel-sized comfort but the wooden, quaint decor and freshly-laid eggs still provide that escaping-the-city countryside feeling! Multiple seating options both indoor and outdoor allow different views across the beautiful countryside (even on foggy mornings!) , though our preferred option was the pre-heated hot tub with robes, towels and even slippers provided!
Hook
The hotel just exudes quality from the oak panelling to the heavy drapes and fabulous grounds. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly and the room was a very good size with a wonderfully comfortable bed. The food was delicious and there were some lovely touches such as complimentary crisps / nuts with your pre-prandial drinks (if requested).
Hook
lovely big rooms, plenty of coffee. tea etc ideal for taking a dog. beautiful grounds lovely for sitting out and having a drink and one of their homemade pizzas. The location is just a short walk to Hook centre and a few walks to choose from direct from the hotel. We would definitely be back
Very clean throughout. Stickers to show that the rooms had been cleaned and sanitised prior to our stay were reassuring. Friendly and efficient check-in. Good location for Hook, Basingstoke and the M3 motorway.
The staff were fantastic. We felt very looked after and incredibly well fed for the price we paid. The room was nicely decorated and clean. Check in was efficient, and hotel was in a easy location.
