I was most impressed with the staff, they could not do enough to help me whilst on my visit, a worker behind the bar called Kit went above and beyond to help me sort out an issue I was having.

I liked the friendliness of the guy that was working there when I checked in. He carried my bags all the way to my room. He showed me a couple of the nice in the house. And the bed that I slept in was very comfortable! It was very soft like a cloud and the pillow was nice and the blanket was nice and I slept so well. Clean. They were cookies there for me to eat. All together just a lovely stay. And the building was gorgeous.

Hook
Located in the small village of South Warnborough and just 15 minutes from the home of Jane Austen, is The Poacher Inn.
I like everything about The Poacher, but especially the people who worked there, and particularly the managers: Jayne and Jon. Terrific people who went out of their way to make my stay an enjoyable one. I stayed in four other inns during this trip, and my stay at The Poacher was, by far, the nicest.

We didn’t like any part of this stay. We left not completing our stay ruining our long awaited family get together because we had to return home. We are awaiting an explanation from Britannia Hotels regarding our stay
We choose Hook as I was bought up in the area, it was very handy for surrounding villages. Walking in nearby village of Greywell . The nearby small town of Odiham is well worth a visit. Great dog walking country.
The room I booked was a Single Mansion room. That in itself suggested it would be large. There was a small photo on booking.com which when you look at it it was not what was expected .in Australia regardless of whether 1 person or 2?is staying there is always a minimum of a double bed. This was a single bed as g TV he room would not accomodate anything larger. Yes a wardrobe was there but it was not useable as you could open the door properly. I would however commend the Hungarian lady at Breakfast on Saturday morning she made me a proper cappuccino. The coffee in the urn was undrinkable overall a very costly 3 days and only worth what a backpackers rate would be
We have already given you our in depth review of the Hook hotel. Please take our review as completely honest and straightforward. We have no reason to say otherwise. The hotel certainly needs very much some TLC and quickly. Its such a shame as the location was great for us. We didn't explore Hook as the hotel was just a couple of nights stay and to be with my relatives at this very sad time.
Don't like all the roundabouts in Bracknell. The harvester at Bracknell not so good.Has a nice walk at the lakes at Eversley and had a drink at the pub frog? Whent to Windsor to the funeral of queen Elizabeth 2nd the next day.
Interesting historic country house set in beautiful grounds, conveniently located not far off the M3. We had only booked one night as a stop-over, but would have loved to stay longer. There was nothing not to like!
