Loved the location as handy to walk around the shops and close enough to drive and visit family members and also visit Basingstoke canal and Odiham castle. A wonderful weekend break, lucky to have the sun shining and very much enjoyed the Elton John tribute act on at the hotel on the Friday evening.

This romantic country house with stunning gardens has a health spa, swimming pools and a tennis court. The gardens are stunning - take a stroll before dinner or even better get up early to see the rabbits hopping across the lawns. Ideal for garden lovers and a stunning country house hotel. We had a lovely light dinner in the bar which looks out over the terraces and gardens. Staff are really friendly but let them know ahead if you have any mobility problems as there are no lifts in this lovely old building.

Located in Hook, Cherry Lodge features a garden. The guest house provides both free WiFi and free private parking. Everything was sparkling clean, the floors, bathroom, even shower doors, windowsills and the bedding was pristine. We did wonder about do it yourself breakfast but it was so easy, so much variety of cereal each separately funelled into our bowls, fruit, yoghurt, bread, butter, marmalades and spreads with fresh coffee and tea. We both slept soundly and comfortably, room good size, tea, coffee biscuits, TV excellent desk to work on and even a highly efficient fan. Well done you've thought of everything, thank you.
