It’s a very nicely done cabin in the remote peaceful location. The cabin is tastefully decorated and very cosy. This small space is organised very well and comfortable . The breakfast was very good and I received it in a nice basket beautifully presented. For me it was wonderful place for sole retreat.

Loved walking through the grounds of Petworth House and we had a lovely walk through the town too on our way there and back. Plenty of antique shops and individually owned small businesses. Nice cafes too.

Good hosts, lovely shepherds hut wonderful views.basic washing facilities but adequate for the short stay. Ordered takeaway from Petworth and we agreed it was the best Indian food we have had. Local town is lovely antiques shops galore! Took trip to arundel which is close an also beautiful.

Must visit Petworth House!
Must visit Petworth House! Even with Covid 19 we were able to see much of it and many fantastic paintings, particularly by a Turner. The grounds are lovely too. Petworth is quaint, lovely individual shops, many of them antique shops, individual clothes shops and home shops. Quaint cafes and pubs.

Our reason for going was to visit Petworth House, one of the few National Trust properties open at the time of our visit. Not all rooms were open but those which were contain an impressive collection of paintings (lots of Turners) and ancient Greek Sculptures. Booking system meant rooms weren't crowded and the volunteers were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic it was a pleasure to talk to them. We would like to return when more of the house is open

Second time stopping here, first time was fab but this time my room was absolutely freezing and appeared to be near a generator of some sort which was making a noise all night. Food is great though here

Beautiful town, well worth exploring.
Beautiful town, well worth exploring. Petworth House and Park are fabulous and must be seen, for the Turners and the Carved Room inside and for the landscaping and planting outside. The current Skyscape exhibition is well worth your attention too.

That applies not only to the room itself but particularly to the breakfast, exceptional in appealing to the taste buds. And the breakfast being there, ready on a table and in a fridge, allows the luxury of not being tied to times, in turn giving the freedom to explore the nearby ancient and beautiful church, walk with the deer in Petworth Park or stay in bed, as the mood fits.

As we stayed two nights we also chose to have two evening meals both of which were of a high standard. Lovely room in a renovated barn to the side of the pub. Staff could not do enough for you. There is a lovely garden area to the rear.
