United KingdomA nice bright room, fairly basic in decor but clean and comfortable. I could watch the sunset from my room, a bonus! Pleasant staff, although I didn't have the time to drink in the bar, I felt I would have been made welcome. The continental breakfast was extensive in it's variety, with an amusing cook-your-own poached eggs option, which I enjoyed!

I was brought up in Ware from 1962 and left in 2010.
I was brought up in Ware from 1962 and left in 2010. Quite shocked at the amount of buildings springing up all over the place. Traffic is bad at peak times. Shopping is restricted to manly charity shops. A few good quality pubs, bars and restaurants still remain. A once vibrant market is virtually non-existent.
I only return for family reunions.

I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends.
I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends. Ware is now a far nicer town than Hertford (for a long time it was the other way round). Lots of nice bars, pubs, restaurants etc.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Servers at the restaurant are super attentive, professional and kind. Special thank you to Marian for making our anniversary dinner at the Zodiac restaurante special!
Our maid was also super attentive and kind.
Special thing about this hotel is its well maintained green territory, amazing gardens and big trees. You'll feel yourself in harmony with the nature.

The owner Nigel is the most welcoming and helpful man I met in 4,5 weeks Room was perfect, above the pub, accessible via space behind the counter. They serve fine stone oven pizza and a nice selection of beers. Situated just above the center of Ware, The Rifle Volunteer has plenty to offer.

Great location in central Ware, less than 10-minute walk to the venue for a wedding we were attending. Owner was very responsive and left a welcome bottle of fizz and bag of crisps. Generally very clean and nicely decorated. Onsite parking is good.
