This 17th-century-style country house is set in 200 acres of parkland. The location is beautiful. Lovely for fresh air, beautiful gardens, peace and lots of birdsong! The building is gorgeous: oak lounge with its fireplaces, tapestries & dark wood, dining area with its stunning ornate ceilings, comfortable spacious rooms and relaxing ambience. Staff couldn't be more helpful, food was excellent. Very Covid safe. We've been going to Hanbury for 12 years since we married there and have been coming back every year. It never disappoints. The pool & Spa are excellent but my favourite is Garden Court and its gardens. Breathtaking!!!! Thank you everyone for another wonderful stay!
Offering free WiFi and garden views, French Horn Cottage provides accommodations located in Ware, just 1 mi from Scotts Grotto Ware. The cottage was quaint and beautiful. In the centre of town which is a big bonus. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. From start to finish the whole booking process and checking in was fab! We are already planning our next stay there to see our friends again.
This property is the oldest hotel in Hertford and offers bedrooms with period features and free Wi-Fi. With a traditional pub restaurant, the hotel is 492 feet from Hertford Museum. Best hotel in central Hertford. I’ve been staying here, annually, for 15 years and never had a bad stay. COVID precautions were on point and we felt safe during our stay and at breakfast.
Located in Hertford in the Hertfordshire region, Hertford Barn conversion features a balcony. Everything you need but with the added bonus of little luxuries, a real home from home. Very private despite the owner living onsite. Would highly recommend 😊
Compact but attractive own with many nice old buildings with a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The musem, churches and river also gives it a greater sense of place. The good rail link alao means that London is only 50 odd minutes away. The only main problem is, at times, the heavy traffic going through the high street.
Ware is a pleasant small river town with some lovely old buildings. Plenty of pubs restaurants and coffee houses. If the weather is good you can walk to Hartford 1.5 miles along the river which is another old town steeped in history.
The village is small but pituresque. When you throught the square behind the church in the night you can see a iluminated three and just there you can eat in some restaurant. Futher, there is a river throughting the village and the views are wonderful.
The room was a good size and the bed extremely comfortable. The bathroom was ok, although not a brilliant shower and we found used soap in the tray. We made use of the spa, which was enjoyable, however we were left unimpressed with the food in the Cast Iron Grill and breakfast was definitely not the standard we expected.
The old town which was interesting has gone and now developed just like many old U.K. Towns . Only found one pub which had good food. Countryside is nice. Location is handy for day visits to Hertfordshire places of interest.
A thriving town centre with great bars and restaurants. I would particularly recommend Sfizio's. It is very near to a whole range of attractions- Lee Valley Park and Aquatic Centre is well worth a visit. It is also easy to access London and Cambridge
Beautiful building, friendly staff, lovely lounge bar area, great event room, 50th Birthday Party venue.
