Staff/breakfast fantastic. Room poorly furnished,very dated & rusty/cracked bathroom fittings,no bathroom heating. Good free parking available,but only 2 disabled spaces. The disabled room (no.29)was 14 room lengths away down a corridor from the disabled parking space making carrying luggage very difficult.& return visits to car very tiring. We went to Beamish open air museum had a fantastic day back to times gone by. Clean and quiet corridors, no other guest noise, and perfect areas for walking dogs. Great shower and bath.Good parking. Excellent on-site restaurant. Staff are lovely, and nothing was too much for them. Easy access to some fabulous beaches ( we absolutely love Roker Beach). Close to all major roads, whilst being quiet and secluded.
