Lovely, old-fashioned but quaint. The lady at the reception was extremely kind and provided me with a bigger room upon check-in since there was one available and bookings were closed for the day - I didn’t ask, she just thought I would be more comfortable that way! Absolutely wonderful stay. Also has a pool I wish I’d taken advantage of had I known!

    The hotel was lovely, it was walking distance to York town centre, great facilities. we used the sauna and swimming pool which were great and clean. We also used the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal which were delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

    We recently stayed in lovely room no 3. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Secure parking on site. Swimming pool is an extra bonus especially after night out in town. Delicious breakfast you can purchase with good selection of drinks. Location is within walking distance to town center, additional plus.

    The décor and ambience downstairs within the reception and restaurant was good. The swimming pool and sauna were excellent, we used it three times, very clean/new and the timeslot system worked well.

    Short walk into center. Staff really lovely. Swimming pool great for the grandchildren and myself. Towels provided to dry off. Room for 3 of us spacious enough. Breakfast was buffet style. Well laid out food was hot and plenty of choice. Day of checkout you could leave your car in the car park all day.

    The gorgeous exterior and interior, the friendly man we had checking in who made us feel very welcome and at ease because it was my first time ever checking in to a hotel- the swimming pool and hot tub was very good too and the bed was so comfty and clean.perfect sized room.
