The location of the Owl apartment was perfect for our long day on the Snaefellsnes peninsula. The apartment was furnished with everything we needed. Cute owls watched over our rest all night. The owner has put so much care into furnishing and decorating this little apartment. We had a huge private bathroom with towel warming rack and toiletries. There is a small table with two chairs, and a coffee machine with a variety of coffee, teas, and hot chocolate provided, along with plates, mugs, and utensils, and a small fridge for our groceries. The bed is so comfy and the neighborhood is quiet so we had a relaxing rest. Our schedule did not give us time to enjoy our private fenced outdoor garden area with seating. The communication with the owner was excellent, and information for self check-in was sent well in advance. We even had a convenient parking space right in front. If we are ever in Iceland again, we'll definitely stay at the Owl apartment.

Great location and able to walk to many places. The room had a good fan which was important since it was a hot day for Iceland.

Love the aesthetics, staff was very nice, you could choose to have your room cleaned or not with door tags, espresso machine in room with pods ( pods and sugar refilled when room cleaned ), really nice shower, good iron and hair dryer, comfortable bed and pillows, nice amount of storage and coat rack! Bagel shop and restaurant/bar in the lobby is 10/10 and you don’t even have to leave the building to have breakfast/dinner.

Located next to Iceland’s Ring Road, Laxarbakki offers apartments with free WiFi access and a furnished terrace with views of River Laxá. Akranes town center is 7.5 mi away.
