We stayed one night. Julia, the hostess, was outstandingly helpful and she spoke very good English. The dinner and breakfast were particularly good. We ate dinner outdoors but in good shade from the evening sun. There is a large swimming pool which has a superb view. Beautiful old hilltop town with lovely restaurants and great views over the lake. We came to this town to relax after a busy time sightseeing, so relaxed by a pool during the day and ate out at night. The lake wasn’t fun to swim in as the water level was much lower than usual this year. It was also extremely hot end July. You really need an air conditioned car to get around The best restaurant was a Schiacciata place just as you enter the main gate on the right, called Opio. We came by car and it was great to have parking in the shade since we were visiting a lot of vineyards and had wine in the car. The owner of the hotel is producing his own wine which we tried during a tasting and have taken back a couple of cases. There are stores and restaurants nearby. It's a walking distance to the lake. The room was clean and despite it being on the main road, the windows are double glazed so you don't hear noises.
