We came to spend time with Jesus, Mary and Luisa Piccarretta....Santa Maria Greca was fabulous, as was Fr Vincente and the parishioners...we really enjoyed Holy Mass, Adoration and the Way of the Cross....the Association for Luisa was wonderful and is a must not miss! Plenty of eating and drinking facilities . Good shopping choices . The town had interesting culture and events on whilst we were there a carnival and music festival . We loved it! Corato is a beautiful place with fantastic restaurants and bars (we recommend particularly Apulian Street Food!) but also a good location for visiting Matera, well worth the journey. It was very nice and clean and every room has a female name, which I found very original. Just close to the hotel there are a lot of bars and restaurants.
