Located in Chemuyil, 2.6 miles from Xel Ha and 5 miles from Cenote Dos Ojos, Jungle Secrets Riviera Maya provides accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, free bikes and an outdoor swimming... It was THE BEST ORGANIZED PLACE we ever visited! Our host Martin made our stay so special and comfortable that we decided to change our plans and stay in Jungle Secrets Riviera Maya 4 nights more. You will find there anything you need - free bikes, blender, microwave, coffee machine, full kitchen equipment, towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beach, all menus from town so you can choose restaurant before, lights for bikes when driving at night, pool... basically ALL! The location is perfect (even we didn't have a car), quiet and surround by nature. Just 5 min by walk from the house is cenote that we felt like is our private one, beautiful and without people at all! By collectivo which cost only 20 pesos you can reach many attractions like Dos Ojos, Zona Arqueologica in Tulum, Akumal and beach with turtles, Coba and more... The rooms were super clean, big and beautiful. There is hot water and good presure under the showers. Martin took care of us like noone else. He picked up and drop us off during check-in and check-out day. He was all the time there to help and give us advices. We are working in hospitality area and we can say that it was amazing and professional place. Definetly reccomend!
Located 12 miles from Tulum Archeological Site, VerdeAmar offers a restaurant, and accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. There's a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries.... Great little bed&breakfast with lovely owners. The rooms are stylish and you can see throughout the whole property that there is love for details and care for environmental issues. The owners are super friendly and they make delicious food, we had 2 great diners here. The property is located in the middle of the jungle near Tulum and near a great beach/turtles sanctuary. If you are looking for something different with personal care in Tulum this is the place for you :)
Featuring a terrace and a tour desk, Pixan Comfort Camping is ideally set in Tulum, 11 miles from Bus station Tulum Ruins and 13 miles from Tulum Bus station. We lived here to save some money for a couple of days apart from the more expensive places in Tulum City. Expect no more than that. Good bed.
I don't even know how to begin describing the wonders of Jashita. A magnificent property with a staff that cares deeply about your experience. They are gracious and generous...each and everyone of them. The entire property is so beautiful...everywhere you turn. The fabulous breakfast is something to look forward to every morning and the restaurant was our favorite place to dine. Clean, fresh food beautifully prepared. Again.....the staff was just perfect. We can't wait to return to Jashita. It is a very special place to be loved and appreciated.
This is not an all inclusive. I have enough friends and I don't need to meet people while I am away. My life has enough stress. This is the perfect place to go to relax, renew your marriage vows, (daily), and enjoy at your own pace. The view is wonderful and the food at the restaurant amazing. Leave it to the Italians to provide the best food. The staff is always attentive and helpful without being "in your face". Talum is a 20 minute taxi ride away and, if you are a diver there are the cenotes and, if not, interesting Mayan ruins. If your concept of fun is Las Vegas you may be disappointed. My wife and I are vegan and Il Restaurare in Talum is a treat not to be missed.
This review was hard to write as we had hoped to go back this fall, but too many issues interrupted our say at Hotel Jashita. First the good, the morning staff and breakfast were spectacular. The hotel facility is stunning assuming the air conditioning is working (why we booked there). After moving to the third much smaller room this was accomplished. Although, the third room was not the same large size room and/or the accommodation paid for. Hotel staff credited us a massage and a manicure. This was a nice gesture but did not equate to the loss in room quality paid for or the loss of time using our vacation to move rooms multiple times. By the third, we asked them to do it. As courtesy they could benefit from remembering is. The final celebratory dinner at Jashita gourmet restaurant, “Sahara” was planned with our local friends. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR EVENING MEALS!!! We sat next to a table of 24 who did not stay at the hotel. We waited 30 minutes for a waiter, we were told we could not have menus due to the table of 24 having ALL of them. Drinks took another 30 minutes and when menus never arrived we ordered. The vegan tacos that had been made for us prior to this were now off the menu due to this large party. So, Jashita is only vegan if they are not busy or you are willing to enter the kitchen and demand the owner. There were many more issues including the 2-½ hour wait for food, not worth the time to write only that we will not go back. Knowing that the hotel knew this happened and the owner was informed, I had hoped for an email apology or some communication to forestall this. Sadly, No.
The best place to relax and enjoy the beach, if you like serenity and zen like environment and no tourists, Balcheil is the perfect location. There is an understated luxury all around, and that is what my family and I like.
In just one night stay we've got lots of unique experiences - enjoyed skillfully carved handmade furniture, a fire pit, comfy bed in a quite spacious tipi. We enjoyed ample privacy, lush vegetation all around the place, nice toilet/shower facility with an artful mural on the outside wall. Bathing in a company of fish in the private senote right next to our tipi was increadible . There is also a small cave with some stalactites and stalagmites, inhabited by a flittermouse right next to the tipi. Both cave and senote are illuminated at night. In the morning we cooked our breakfast in a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, and went to the beautiful Xcacel beach nearby. We'd love to come again and stay for much longer. Absolutely beautiful place can be recommended to anyone used to a camping style of travel. You will get invaluable experience for a very modest price.
