There were many options to accommodate (i.e. Tenting; Glamping; Family rooms etc)...The differing atmospheres promoted contact with other campers, ultimately creating conversations & relationship building.

The staff was helpful when we checked in. I got the booking confirmation through booking.com. However, the motel has not our booking at all when we arrived. We are lucky that the motel still has a vacancy to allow us to live. The room is clean and comfortable; the kitchen facilities are handy. High recommended!

The Harbor View Motel was lovely! Very friendly staff and a spotless room made for a perfect stay in Coromandel Town.
Nice little town, exactly what we were looking for.
Nice little town, exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!
The drive up to Coromandel however, was horrible! The roads are way too narrow for 2 cars, lest a truck coming in the oncoming traffic!

The view driving down the mountain into Coromandel town was spectacular - I only wish there were more lookout spots to stop and take it all in. Pepper tree restaurant was excellent, the tuna on the menu was so good! I wish I had more time to explore Coromandel and go down to the beach. Lots of amazing coastal views on the drive to and from Coromandel town, especially during Pohutukawa season!

It is a nice little town. It has enough shops for you. If you want to cook. Too many restaurants! It has a I-site too. You can go to Colville for a coffee. To the Driving Creek Railroad/pottery. To the Gold stamper. And there are a lot of awesome walking tracks.

Beautiful picturesque area. Lovely little town.
Beautiful picturesque area. Lovely little town. Lots of art going on here. There is a four square shop for mostly everything you need, it’s probably slightly more expensive, but if you consider that everything has to be trucked into the area then it’s easy to see why. Plenty of public toilet facilities. The area just awaits exploration, sadly because of the cyclone Gabriel many of the walks are still closed because of safety issues.

We stayed out of season, just before Easter, so the town was quiet, no traffic, plenty of parking. Cafes, restaurants, facilities open, so we could eat and enjoy ourselves. Loved how friendly it was, staff had time to talk to you. Loved the Driving Creek Railway, both is us are elderly with mobility problems, lovely to be taken up the mountain and enjoy the view. Similarly at the Waterworks, mobility scooter provided free for my husband, so we were able to take our time, read the very amusing boards dotted around.

The town is so clean and a genteel feel to it.
The town is so clean and a genteel feel to it. The walks around the area are sensational. We walked up to the Te Pa lookout, it’s quite a steep walk, but well worth it for the views. At the bottom it says a 15 minute walk, but took me far longer. The Kauri tree walk is beautiful and if you do the longer loop it takes you to Tuck beach it’s not a difficult walk and the little cove is so beautiful, after that just carry on up the hill and the Kauri tree walk is on your left hand side, this will bring you back to your starting point at the caravan park. Supplies cost more here, but when you factor in the length of the journey to the mainland it’s easy to see why. However the coromandel is a beautiful place, but like anywhere else when it rains you can be stuck indoors, so take a good book.

Really lovely site. Came for a night and stayed for three. Only one point lost because the lovely shepherd's hut was booked for the final night and we had to stay in our van. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and really helpful. Nice walks nearby, the lovely sound of the sea and close to Coromandel town which had a great hardware shop and lovely cafes. Highly recommend !
Modern, nicely renovated accommodation. Spotlessly clean. Kitchen was well-equipped. Airconditioning in lounge was great after a hot day at the beach. Well thought out e.g. LED light with sensor in bathroom so no fumbling for lights in an unfamiliar place. Lovely bathroom. Beds were comfortable with nice linen. Walking distance to town. I would highly recommend this property.
The property was nestled into a very small town right next to sheep and cows. Hosts and sleeping accommodations excellent. Comfy beds and very clean and organized. You can walk to the town to grab dinner after a long drive. Breakfast was wonderful, we loved talking to Michael he shared a lot of interesting facts about the North Island.
We loved this self contained little house with all of the amenities we needed for a great stay in the Coromandel Peninsula, and we loved the town of Coromandel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it for a couple, perhaps even with kids since there is also a pull out sofa bed. Great value as well!
We loved the location of this accommodation, close to a swimming bay and not far to drive to get to the township. The accom has a BBQ and all the amenities for a great stay. The Continental breakfast was a great option for us which we looked forward to each morning. Highly recommend!!!
Location was central to the Coromandel Peninsula and made it easy to explore the area. Walking distance to shops and eateries. Very relaxing having breakfast and pre dinner drinks on the deck viewing the mountains, rainbows, cattle, birds and gardens. Absolutely beautiful!
The location was fabulous and enough parking.
We thought that the variety of cabins and tent/caravan accessibility is a great asset to the accommodation.
The hosts were very lovely, welcoming and accommodating with suggestions.
Bed was comfy.
It was quiet.
Serene location with friendly and helpful host. We chose to stay here after a visit to the South Island with a few days to spare prior to flying home. So glad we found Coromandel. Lots to see and do around the peninsula or just relax and stay close to Hush.
Location - It has a picture-perfect view over the harbour, located close to Coromandel township
Rooms - are well set up to handle a big group of travellers, with a nice outdoor patio for a cuppa in the morning
Spa - the motel has a spa available for use
Clean. Spacious. Great location. Own terrace and view of garden. Fantastic choice of fresh food for breakfast. Warm and friendly host provided us with beach chairs when we went off exploring the peninsula.
This is actually a haven for boat owners, but we found plenty to do and the accommodation was amazing, lovely big rooms, swimming pool, stream with big fat eels to wow the kids and access to the beach.
Friendly staff, comfortable room (had own room with queen size bed), short 10 minute walk to Coromandel Town, nice garden, and shower lots of hot water.
