Lovely selection for breakfast - very comfortable bed and all well thought out - BUT didn't need the sparkly lights to be shining ALL night - if on a timer perhaps turn off by about 11 ISH - as if blinds are up in bedroom they are a distraction to sleep - it was nice mr to have blinds open and see the view in morning

    My weekend trip in Whangamata was fantastic, I honestly wished I had gotten to stay longer since it's such a lovely town. The beach, which is great for surfing and walks, is a huge part of the town, so staying near it is important. Whanga Bar Surf Views, where I stayed, had perfect beach access so I'd highly recommend that home.

    This is a family beach holiday destination.

    This is a family beach holiday destination. Very down to earth and firmly rooted in the surfing culture. Once a year in Match / April they have a Festival called the Beach Hop which is the largest classic and vintage car meet in NZ and includes music and 1950 / 60’s dance competitions. Classic Cars and their owners were all drifing in to town while we were there - it looked like it would be a spectacular event. We would consider revisiting the town in the future to participate in the Hop.

    Whangamata is an amazing beautiful white sand beach,great for Boogie boarding g swimming surfing,a surely stunning.whangamat shops have everything you need and some great cafes area not too built up but has enough amenities for a lengthy stay.

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need,...

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need, several good restaurants and cafes, shops and bars. The beach is beautiful, sandy, wide and safe. It is totally unspoiled. There is a small harbour, lots of fishing and boat rides. The surrounding countryside and views are magnificent. At low tide you can walk to one of the small islands.

    Whangamata can give you what you want, whether its a quiet peaceful time or a bit of a night out. Lovely walks whether ir is a beach, forest or hill walk. Golf course, cycling tracks, or just a gentle stroll on the beautiful beach. Lots of cafes, places to eat, like European, Thai, Indian, Turkish Kebab or fish & chips as well as 3 clubs in town for a small fee can enjoy a drink as well as lovely food. Downside is places close early & not like the big towns/cities for food & drinks.

    Perfect Location, Amazing View. Best Location in Whangamata. Quick drive to town centre. The Hosts Tineke and Ian are the most fantastic hosts, make sure you have everything sorted prior to arrival and make you feel incredibly welcome. We have stayed twice and will be back a 3rd time. 10/10 and the most perfect location and stay!

    We enjoyed this location very much. Central and close to everything in town. Cafes, shops. We have visited Whangamata before but this one is much better. We enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. Our apartment was lovely and clean, comfortable beds. Had everything we needed. Fridge freezer, oven and stove top.

    The location was great because of the short walking distance to the beach! The h accommodation itself gives a nice beach feeling with the beautiful front of the house and its wooden balconies ! The apartment was nicely furnished and offers a lot of space!
