There are countless restaurants and tourists will have no trouble finding good international cuisine, in addition to local Polish specialities. This was my first visit but it won’t be my last! I had no idea that Krakow is so beautiful! It’s steeped in history, and every street in the old town is full of magnificent facades. The town square is amazing - full of cafes to sit and watch the world go by. If you like Vienna, you will love Krakow! The old castle is worth visiting. The city has many, and very diverse, churches. We ate dinner in Le Tre Sorelle restaurant and were very pleased with the meal which was really delicious. Krakow is certainly a place to visit in Poland. It has a rich history and I found it very easy to navigate. I was especially lucky to visit at the end of the International Folk Art fair. This introduced me to a large variety of folk art and handicrafts. In addition, there was a lot of local Polish cuisine to try out. I arranged two day trips from Krakow. One was to Auschwitz-Birkenau. This was a moving and emotional experience. The other was a trip to Zakopane south of the city, where we saw more of the countryside and also visited a thermal bath.
