this hotel was far from the airport or anything else for that matter, if you had to walk so a car is a necessity, and although the hotel had amenities like restaurant (only open for breakfast with the same breakfast every day) and vending machines (which if you could find a working one was empty( best piece of advise is find a grocery store, the island living is the best but it does take some getting used to if your from North America.DanCanada - 8.0Scored 8.0

Stunning location. Incredible volcanic scenery. Wonderful wildlife. Great bars and eateries up the hill in Agua do Pau. Speeding Traffic in the area a major problem. Roads very dangerous, particularly after dark. Illicit drugs openly available close by if that's your thing, probably contributing to the road safety issues.

The vista was beautiful, very clean, accommodations were great, staff at the front desk were super friendly. Beds were extremely firm, would have appreciated a bit of guidance or recommendations as to where to go, grocery’s, restaurants etc., Found an amazing place just minutes away to swim and eat on our last day of our stay, wished we had known earlier.

The town itself is not much.
The town itself is not much. The location of the 2 hotels is excellent and very convenient for touring the rest of Sao Miguel and staying out of the one big town: Ponta Delgada. The Colura Bar restaurant nearby is highly rated.AndrewUnited States of America
