Known for being the first settlement of Sao Miguel and now...
Known for being the first settlement of Sao Miguel and now it is a pretty little town with old streets leading to the harbor. The local church, Nissan Senhora do Rosario is thought to have been the first parish on the island. The village is very small, not much to see.
The village is very small, not much to see. It's a quiet place and a nice place to relax. Unfortunately it's a bit too far from the tons of points of interest outside the village.
