The hotel was great. But the fraud of Booking.com is the problem. I found the same hotel for a cheaper price with the same hotel and yet you refuse to refund me or give me credit for a future booking. My company employs over 300000 employees throughout the country. I will surely send an email and on Teams throughout the company telling them this situation and not to use Booking.com but to use Expedia, Trivago or Priceline if we can't come to some compromise.

FAQs about hotels in Washington, D.C.

A World Icon

Featuring tons of national treasures, Washington DC is the US capital and home to the world’s most iconic presidential building – The White House. Most visitors start at the National Mall, a huge park stretching from the Potomac River to the Capitol Building. It also encompasses the Washington Monument obelisk and the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, of particular significance in US civil rights, commemorated by the latest addition - the Martin Luther King Memorial.

Also here are 11 of the city’s 17 incredible Smithsonian museums, including the unmissable National Museum of American History.

If all this gets too much, wander around Georgetown’s Colonial buildings and take a break in one of the student cafés. Many world cuisines are represented in Washington DC and the city also has its fair share of live music venues, with a surprisingly good jazz scene. The National Symphony Orchestra is based here and the Kennedy Center hosts a range of productions.

DC’s planning policy means there are no skyscrapers, so if you fly into Washingon Dulles Airport over the city, you see its white buildings standing proud. The city is also served by Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall Airport and Washington National Airport. All are quite a way out, so leave plenty of time to get there from your hotel, apartment or guesthouse booked through Booking.com.

I lived in D.C. for 20 years, and went back for a visit.

I lived in D.C. for 20 years, and went back for a visit. If you don't need to leave the metro area - you don't need a car. Getting around on Metro worked out great - fast, clean and convenient. If you don't have to go in July or August... don't. It was HOT and very HUMID. Walking just a few blocks is exhausting in high humidity. Many diverse places to eat - great selection of restaurants.

Short stay with two adults and teen boy: Nats game, Zoo, Capitol tour, Natural History Museum, Botanical Garden & walked the National Mall in the evening/night. Locals all very friendly & helpful and the Metro is a piece a cake after the first day. Would have liked another day to explore, but then we might not want to return ;-)

Trip was a great weekend trip.

Trip was a great weekend trip. Riding Veo bike around to see monuments was easy and great. area around wharf was safe and easy to get to sites. There seems to be electrical issues at monuments, lack of lighting ( lightbulbs out) everywhere. Parks division needs to get on it. I don’t recommend night tours on bus. Get up early and beat the crowds. Capital toor was very limiting also. Disappointing, you only get two see 3 rooms.

We had a wonderful time in Washington!

We had a wonderful time in Washington! We visited in mid-June, and while the weather was quite hot, staying hydrated kept us going. We explored iconic sites like the U.S. Capitol and the National Mall—there was a lot of walking involved, but it was worth it. We used the unlimited transportation card for 3 days, which made getting around easier, and Uber was always a reliable option. That said, the bus service was quite slow, possibly due to preparations for the 250th Army anniversary. Also, some subway stations are a bit far from major attractions, so be prepared for some walking. This wasn’t my first time in Washington, and it definitely won’t be the last. I love the city—it’s clean, safe, and the people are genuinely friendly. The wide, well-maintained streets make it a joy to explore!

I didn't expect to find such a great place for little money in Washington. A real gem. Everything is brand new. Very comfortable beds, clean new bed linen. The shower and toilet are really state-of-the-art, which you don't always find even in expensive hotels. Internet speed 500 Mbps. Very hospitable and cheerful owner. The beakfast was full and tasty.Bravo! Hats off! If you are not ready to pay hundreds of dollars for your stay, then don't hesitate.

Good location, close to the White House and all other attractions in Washington. We didn't use public transportation. The hotel was OK with a pool. The room was clean, with an interior window overlooking the roof where the fans were located. They were quite loud, which made sleeping difficult. Comfortable and large bed. Good and varied breakfast. I recommend this hotel, but please avoid a room with fans.
