It’s really just across the train station. The location is in the middle of old town and new town. Super clean. The room is not very large but did not feel cramped.

The location is Amaaaazing, every major event/activity is nearby The longest i had to walk is 12 mins away, so i literally didn’t use any public transportation or even a car. The room is spacious, with nice bathroom. The staff are very kind and nice.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The room turned out to be even better than in the pictures. The location is ideal, right on the Royal Mile. Easy to get anywhere. The room was clean, beds were very comfy, all the necessities were provided. Great breakfast starting from 7 am. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

Wow this place and the staff were amazing. Blown away! Booked this as a last-minute stay and honestly wasn’t expecting this. It’s been freshly renovated, was absolutely spotless and the location was 10/10. We have already booked to stay again in August!

After glamping in a pod in the highlands, we booked The Witchery last minute--couple hours before we checked in--to pamper ourselves and rejuvenate before touring Edinburgh. The guardsman room was spacious with a large hall and three rooms and a bath. Great views outside the windows. The temperature was perfect--many places we stayed we had a hard time regulating this. Heated bathroom floors and a soaker tub perfect for relaxing after walking all day. The Dyson hair dryer came with many attachments including a diffuser for my curly hair! Hair straightener was also available--such a welcome touch! The breakfast had many choices and option to dine in restaurant or eat in sitting room. We chose sitting room and it was delightful. Spread out like royalty! Hotel was very close to shops, food, and the castle we were visiting. The staff held our bags, carried our bags, and helped us take them across the street when checking out. While it was very upscale, the staff were down to earth, professional and friendly. All of the furniture was comfortable and the chilled bottled water and chocolates were a nice touch. Turn down service was available as well.

Exception location and wonderful host. The host (Kash) was very kind as we settled in and then gave great recommendations for local cafes and restaurants. The apartment’s proximity in the old city of Edinburgh was superb and close to everything.
