The hospitality was truly felt. From the moment you enter, the staff are very helpful and friendly. My room was nice, all the amenities were great, and I loved every bit of the breakfast, also the little corner where you can pack sandwiches to go. In the bistro downstairs, you can even borrow books, although most of them are in Czech. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I’m definitely going to recommend it to anyone I know who’s traveling to Prague.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

Prague is a walking city (I averaged 10 miles a day), but...

Prague is a walking city (I averaged 10 miles a day), but with excellent and inexpensive public transport when your legs just need a day off. This, my initial visit to Prague, was for five days. In a city of such depth of history and culture, five days was a good amount of time to gain an initial flavor for Prague, but one that leaves the visitor looking forward to more. A few other items that may be helpful. 1. Public transport is really easy to use and inexpensive: the tickets, which are based on time ranging from 30 minutes to 3-days open the traveller to use of all forms of transport. From the airport jump on the bus 59. This drops you at the Metro A line and from there, the city of Prague. 2. Bring some cash as a back up, but then credit cards are the way to go. They are accepted just about everywhere in the city. 3. Bring your walking shoes and lose yourself in the lanes of Prague, or walk along the Vltava river to the wonder of Vyšehrad. Even at high season Prague can be a quiet city once away from the tourist center. 4. Prague is the birth place of Art Nouveau, with the Czech Republic being the birth place of Alphose Mucha: Prague has a strong undercurrent of history and art.

    Prague is a beautiful city.

Prague is a beautiful city. The Czech people are friendly and welcoming. Jewelry vendors on the Charles Bridge were very nice. One vendor gave me a Prague key chain because I specifically sought her a 2nd day to purchase more earrings. Prices were displayed in Krones, Euros, and sometimes American dollars. Some vendors also accepted credit cards. I enjoyed climbing Prague's many towers, touring the Jewish museums, seeing the changing of the guard at a local castle, and walking around the city. I felt very safe. It was dismaying to see graffiti around the city. Also dismayed by men begging for money and the homeless, although no one directly approached me. The city government needs to schedule trash pickup more frequently as I often saw overflowing garbage cans. Public transportation was inexpensive and easy to use.

Terribly disappointed how the centre of Prague changed.

Terribly disappointed how the centre of Prague changed. Mostly tourist traps, a lot of hangoverd people vommiting all over the place, so crouded, garbage on the mainstreets. It was not worthed to go and see all the iconic places in the city. Not anymore. We did the research before coming back to Prague and booked in time some places that were worth visiting for us that are iconic for Prague. Like the Klementium tour, the mirror hall concert. I would not comeback to visit the city.

Prague is a fantastic city to visit with so many places to wander around and find. The tram system is brilliant and such great value of money. The pop-up market near St Nicholas Church is great (superb sausage and a beer!). The cafe and bar scene is superb and there is a lot to do. Escape room at The Chamber was superb, well worth it as challenging puzzles to solve and a really great dungeon master who really got the adrenalin running! Will be visiting Prague a few more times!

Excellent location at the National Museum next to two metro lines (metro station is just in front of the hotel) and in a walking distance from Old Town square and other city centre attraction points. I arrived late and saw how busy and loud it was outside at the Wenceslas square, but in my room which was facing the square I did not hear any noise from outside. The room was comfortable, well-eqipped, with interesting design. Personnel was very nice and helpful.

Brilliant location too, in a lovely quiet area with great cafes and places to eat but only about a 4/5 min walk to the Old Town Square. I’d definitely recommend it and stay here again!

Rooms very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy with two huge pillows. Shower was hot and toiletres were provided. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as the hotel guests decided to eat at the same time 😄 so space was limited. Foodwise average.
