Breakfast was very acceptable. Rooms were adequate but decor rather dated and in need of upgrade to create a more modern/inviting appearance.
Stayed here last year for a hockey tournament at Timperley and good enough to come back. Will come back next year.

I only stayed one night to visit Old Trafford.
I only stayed one night to visit Old Trafford. Upon my visit we were extremely welcomed by very friendly hosts. I couldn’t fault the visit, room and amenities was very clean, comfortable, and minimal noise. There is a bar downstairs and overall such a nice atmosphere to drink in. We opted for an English breakfast and it was reasonable for the price and tasty. I did notice a 5* food and health rating. I would definitely book here again if I were to come back to Sale.

Deafening music from function room ruined our stay.
Deafening music from function room ruined our stay. Numerous stairs between entrance/bar/restaurant and rooms. Large room. Comfy bed. Very large bathroom with separate bath and shower. (Room3). No place in shower for toiletries. Bath does not have grab bars. Toilet roll sits on shelf behind toilet- so not in reach.

Excellent walk along the canal path from the accomodation to Sale, takes about ten minutes and here you can find areasonable range of shops and services along with a good selection of cafes and restaurants, Sale is not a place to spend the whole day but is worth having a few hours there before continuing the walk along the canal to Trafford Water Park.

The hotel is about 6 mins drive from Sale, nice handy place to stay. Easy access to Manchester by Tram from Sale. Short drive to Altrincham (recommend for dining and shopping) and very close to National Trust properties Dunham Massey and Quarry Bank Mill
Excellent experience though checked in nearly 1200 at night but the landlady was kind enough to come out of her bed and opened the reception for me.As I had bulky luggage with me she had given me a room on first floor instead of 2nd floor.
A home like feeling a spacious and pleasant room complimentary tea coffee and biscuits. All making my stay comfortable and memorable.
Easy accessible location nearer to Manchester Airport.
****Highly Recommended ****
I was visiting Manchester to see friends and this was really close by and convenient. The place was warm and spacious with a very comfortable bed. Hosts were really welcoming and helpful. The key safes were easy to operate; I was out for the evening and could easily let myself in on my return. Overall, excellent value.
The Penthouse is cleverly designed and well appointed. The location was great, moments from Sale - to Manchester tram station, almost on the canal which is lovely to walk along and surrounded by bars, restaurants and other places to eat. could have been noisy was it wasn’t .very effective and responsive heating system.
Easy to find, a great location - and the lady running the establishment is a star who really made the trip. Eskdale Lodge will be my home from home when staying in Manchester which I hope to be doing regularly for some time. Oh yes - the bathroom in my room could have been in a four or five star place - really nice.
The hotel was lovely, clean and welcoming. Our room couldn’t be faulted, it was comfortable, clean, quiet and pretty! A great location and we really enjoyed staying here! If we were ever back up in Manchester we would definitely go back to stay here.
The man I spoke to Mohamed, stayed up to greet me as my flight was very late in and got to hotel at 1am. I was very impressed. Breakfast was excellent . Cooked by a young man called ragu who was very friendly tood to see but
Loved the interior and the comfort of everything! It was super homely with really cosy rooms and well looked after kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend as this will be my first choice when coming to manchester again.
Nothing to fault about the place, very clean, good sized room, lovely breakfast and good service. It was a 5min walk to trams, so location perfect for travelling into Manchester City centre.
The apartment was great and newly remodeled. Everything seemed new and very tastefully decorated. It was close to Manchester sirport. Hosts were responsive. The apartment is very secure.
Very convenient for seeing our family who live in Manchester. Lovely and very friendly hosts. Free parking on the road and very well fitted out ‘chalet’. Interesting location.
Surprisingly both my wife and I slept quite well but both agreed the pillows were a bit naff. TV was a good size for the room. Well located for getting in to Sale town centre.
Very convenient for Manchester airport. Daily basic facilities, but clean room, nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Couldn't really expect more for the (very cheap) price.
