Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.
My partner and I live in Chester with our daughter Poppy. We have a passion for food and drink which makes the Lake District an ideal place for us. We understand that time away from busy working life is precious and we do our best to make sure our cottage provides the well deserved break our guests need.
