This is a dated hotel and you either revel in its retro feel or pick fault. We love it and have stayed several times over the past few years. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is good but not the fastest, food is always better than expected, plentiful and good value. The breakfast especially is generous. Rooms and plumbing are tired but the beds are comfortable, the wifi fine, ample free parking and overall value very good. We've never had a room with a decent view but the outlook from the restaurant is great, especially at night. The location works for us, getting south of Manchester when returning to Wales.

Stayed 2 nights and never seen any other guests seemed to be the only person there both nights , never seen anyone at breakfast. The breakfast was very nice There were plenty of it A few rugby people dropped the first night for drinks, Quite dated could do with a lick of paint in places ,no lift ,stairs a little steep, but quite a comfortable room ,although I had to be changed to another room ,But despite everything it wasn't all bad coffee tea biscuits in room shower was over the bath . The owner was very friendly and accommodating don't know if I would stay again due to location as I don't drive

Staff was really friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable
The hotel includes free Wi-Fi throughout and offers modern rooms, which are equipped with a flat-screen TV. The rooms also benefit from a king-size bed. Some rooms have a balcony.

Very close proximity to the train station and no more than a 10 minute walk to the town centre. It was cheap and cheerful but had all of the facilities needed and the room, although very basic, was warm and comfortable. It was more than adequate for one night and we would definitely stay again.

Enjoyed breakfast, could have had everything a lot warmer than just sausages. It was luke warm, edible though.
On hilly location, not sure if access would be ideal in the winter freeze for example.
Lots of car parking behind main car park, swim pool nice size to swim in with 3 lanes.

We made a random choice of hotel as we were in the area and decided to take a break. Really enjoyed the hotel and it's location. Nice, but hilly, walk to Frodsham and great views from the War Memorial near the hotel. Hotel is a bit tired in some respects (coloured bathroom suite for example) but very acceptable. Staff friendly, food good and pool was quiet. We've booked to go back in May.

Great location. Good gym for workout.
Great location. Good gym for workout. Also pool ideal for kids.
long walk to town. Easy downhill but get taxi back if needed. nice village nearby local pubs and church for sightseeing. Pleaseant area.
From the minute we arrived an the conversation we struck up with the gentleman on receptions to departing an saying goodbye to the same gentleman we had one of the nicest stays in a hotel for a very long time . The staff in the restraunt were extremely helpful an so friendly. Had an absolutely amazing meal in the restraunt an the service was top class . Every single member of staff was lovely an friendly..
It's a great place, very nice staff, there is a monument just a few minutes away with an outstanding view of the Merseyside, quite impressive. We really enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. Overall, I would say our visit at Frodsham Forest Hills was a really good experience.
The hotel was off the beaten track and located on the top of the hill above Frodsham, this was great if you like good views or walks and it appeared to cater for dogs which is a plus in my book. The staff were very helpful and friendly from reception to breakfast, the hotel was clean and tidy.
Location swimming pool gym and leisure facilities however the pool changing room are looking very tired and could do with refurbishment and no locks provided for changing room lockers.
Hotel looking very tired thread bear carpets in several locations on corridors.
I stayed here for one night with other members of my family for a family funeral in Frodsham. It was a convenient location for us all and plenty of parking - we all had to drive up from the South of England because of rail strikes. None of us used the pool or spa.
Nice location although the road upto the hotel and the car park was full of holes . the hotel was a little tired looking, could do with some redecorating . Our room was comfortable but our bathroom sink had a large chip on it and the radiator clunked all night.
Lovely large room. We liked the fact that unlike other hotels, we could have a family room with our older and tall teens, with full sized beds for all. We asked for, and were given, a room accessible without steps. Nice pool etc.
We chose this hotel because it had an electric vehicle charger and was near the motorway - convenient. The charger wasn't working when we arrived but a member of hotel staff fixed it for us. Our room was large and comfortable.
Fantastic hotel everyone was kind, helpful, friendly and gave us a 5*service all around we loved it.
My husband is disabled and the kindness , and care they showed him was excellent thank you so much 😊.
Lovely clean and modern facilities and decor inside and beautiful setting just outside Frodsham. Liam was very accommodating and let us check in early, which was much appreciated!
For a 3 star hotel, it was very good actually.
Used this hotel because the Cat & Lion at Stretton was disgraceful, so we checked out on arrival there, ad found this instead.
Room was spacious and beds are comfortable.
Large free car park
It has public Lesiure center with gym and swimming pool and the attendance by appointment
