Nice and warm place very cosy. The heating is all electric but turns of at night and then it's really cold. The sea is nearby and very kind host. Very lovely cafe Filly nearby where you can get delicious food, breakfast and lunch.

Mercat Cottage is an all ground floor cottage, part of Cockenzie House and Gardens. The cottage sleeps six people in two bedrooms which are a king-size double and a twin room with a sofa bed in the living area. There is also a separate shower room and a basin and WC. Completing the accommodation is an open plan living area with a kitchenette, dining area and sitting area with an electric fire. Outside guests have use of the shared formal gardens and there is a private patio area. Off road parking for two cars is also available. Mercat Cottage is a fantastic choice with many activities in the nearby area. Please note, this property has a minimum night stay of x3 nights.

This coastal town is just a thirty minute drive from Edinburgh and is home to some of its own fantastic amenities. Visit the galleries, tea rooms and gardens or walk a stretch of the John Muir Way which runs along the shore. There are a number of golf courses within easy reach and trips to Edinburgh are a must. The Old Town boasts the castle and The Royal Mile as well as Holyrood Palace and the new Scottish Parliament. The New Town offers elegant Georgian buildings and streets with a wealth of shopping, eating and drinking to suit all tastes.
