Historic, traditional & Spacious Wiltshire Cottage, hotel in Shrewton

Featuring a garden, Historic, traditional & Spacious Wiltshire Cottage offers accommodations in Shrewton. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio.

The cottage was appointed well with all the amenities needed for our scheduled 4 night stay. Lovely touches like a welcome basket and the fire was stocked and ready to be lit as we arrived later in the afternoon. Couldn't fault the cleanliness of the property and the cottage manual was easy to follow. Very well placed for visiting Stonehenge and Bath. It was quiet and with the fire lit in the evening, it was very relaxing. There was lots of staple products that had been left behind (sugar, spices, salt, etc) so if you'd forgotten something, there was the possibility of what you needed being present. This was a nice touch (although we had come fully prepared) :)

The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire, hotel in Shrewton

Located in Amesbury, in scenic Wiltshire, The George Hotel, Amesbury, Wiltshire is a 5-minute drive from Stonehenge.

Old fashioned decor, very warm and atmospheric, the restaurant especially is great for food and drinks with friends. The staff is utterly amazing, attentive, professional, solicitous and able to do everything in their power to make you feel welcome and cared for. I had to check out super early and required a taxi at the crack of dawn(forgot to book ahead, too), and the amazing lady at the reception called every taxi driver in the area to find me a ride to the train station. Highly recommend and will be back time and again. I also found the beds supremely comfortable- the pillows were fluffed up like clouds and sleeping was like nestling up in a dreamscape of perfect tranquility. Thanks for everything!

Great centre for exploring parts of Wiltshire not visited...

Great centre for exploring parts of Wiltshire not visited before. There are many beautiful lakes and villages within 30-60 mins drive from Rollestone Manor. The Manor was just the right size for us...not too big and had a very personal service which was great. We've already recommended Rollestone Manor to friends in Chagford! As Arnie once said 'We'll be back' !

Exceptional hotel, the facilities are superb. The whole experience from the welcome to breakfast was faultless. Amazing hotel and grounds, both the lounge and gardens give a perfect place to relax and unwind. We used the restaurant in the evening, this also exceeded expectations and I had one of the best fillet steaks I've had in a long while. Medium rare and cooked to perfection. We had the Lady Harriet room, it has everything you could need, spacious and comfortable in every aspect.

I would have classed this as a quality hotel as opposed to a B&B but they have to refer to it as a B&B as they do not have staff covering reception etc 24 hours a day, so they can't.
