St Thomas Becketts Church was a wonderful surprise with the late 15thc paintings. The walking tour of Salisbury with a registered guide was excellent and i would definitely recommend it. The docents in the cathedral were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. More importantly you could ask any question of them and they would endeavour to answer it.

It is a town full of interest - museums, The Cathedral and close, Montpesson House and many more. It has a wide range of shops, cafes and interesting old buildings, full of history. It is easy to walk round. We especially enjoy Elizabeth Gardens and the water meadows to Harnham. The centre is so busy, best taken in small doses. The market square is important to see, especially on market day - and a new department store.

Everthing is within walking distance shops, cathedral etc and there are plenty of places to eat. Furthermore, as this is an old medieval town there are lots of pubs ! so plenty of choice of breweries and food ! Its also based on a grid system so very easy to navigate your way around. We did find that the independant shops, market etc are NOT open on Sundays so if you are coming for shopping make sure you come Monday to Saturday or you will be disappointed ! Our host said when the sun shines Salisbury is the best place to be and with a choice of over 5 rivers you could walk along bathed in sunshine I would agree !

Go to city visitor center, very helpful. Pretty town, every place walkable. Visit Stonehenge in afternoon, lot less people. Old Sarum was hard to get to and not marked well from bus stop. Magna Carta might not be worth the fee to many.

A small town with lots of pretty old buildings, beside the river. There are some famous sites including the cathedral which I enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately a few things are closed Tuesday and/or Wednesday, so check webistes when planning your trip. It's also 20 minutes from Stonehenge.

The hotel is in a great location to visit the cathedral and city centre shops and restaurants. Nice room, warm and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and hot food cooked to order. It was Saturday night and they had a band playing in the evening but the music stopped promptly at 11pm.. I was travelling on my own and felt comfortable in the bar, which has a good range of drinks on offer. I would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed room 208 which was back-facing - overlooking a field - and was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well furnished. Breakfast coffee was excellent and breakfast options for people without allergies/intolerances were good. Parking was ample and free. The hotel is well presented and feels well maintained. The reception staff were available when we needed them and were able to help with all our queries.

Perfect location close to city centre. Breakfast not included in the tariff & we weren't willing to pay a considerable amount extra for breakfast in hotel restaurant. Our room was spacious & ensuite had both shower & bath. The bed was extremely comfortable, & the room quiet. There was a heat pump in room but as the weather was very warm we were able to use the heat pump on reverse cycle to cool the room. A tastefully furnished room.

Parking is very easy for a city centre hotel. Friendly and very helpful hotel staff. We had an Executive Double Room which was well equipped and everything worked as it should, the large bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast offerings were not a strength, but everything else was in good supply and the quality was high when compared to the 5* hotel we were staying in prior to arriving at this hotel. The coffee was very good.

One of the best stays we've had anywhere, and we've been very fortunate in our stays over the years. Just lovely & gracious in every single way. A great base for nearby sights (Salisbury, Stonehenge, Highclere Castle, etc.) but I would go back and stay here if it were at the north pole in a blizzard-- beautiful and immaculate room, superb breakfast, really gracious hosts. The best de-stress location I know.

My room was spacious and clean and had everything I needed, including free Wifi, plenty of sockets, tea/coffee making facilities, TV. Bed was comfy. Quiet at night. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. It took me about 30/40mins to walk into town. However, there is a bust stop about 4/5 mins walk from the hotel. Free parking was good. No issues

Great position by a river with a wonderful view of the cathedral - though it’s probably obscured by the trees in summer. Easy walk into town. Plenty of free parking, friendly staff and good breakfast. The room was in the newer part of the hotel and was spacious, clean and comfortable but somewhat dated.
