The location is absolutely perfect. It's walking distance to the cliff rail and the closest building when climbing up the cliff on foot when you get to the top, which is a relief because it's a steep climb! The staff is very friendly as well, and our room was nice and big, which was great for the children. Great value!

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.

Lynton is a lovely small village with all amenities you need. Couple of pubs with good food and drink. Some excellent food restaurants especially the Kensington for steaks. The Green house was brilliant for early morning coffee and fry up. If going to Lynemouth then take the train - walking up and down ( we did both) is brutal and you need to be fit and healthy to do either.

Lynton isn't the easiest place to drive to but well worth the effort. We avoided Porlock Hill (we have a very old car) and used the toll road. It costs £3 but the views are wonderful. Lynton itself has plenty of places to eat, a good Arts and Crafts Centre plus a second-hand community bookshop, as well as lots of other interesting shops. It's a lovely little town just to wander round and of course you have the cliff railway to take you down to Lynmouth.

Lynton is a lovely little town, plenty of eating places. The only down side is the hill getting there, it is very, and the turn into Lynton is very sharp. Choughs Nest Hotel is a lovely place good views, but the breakfast was not up to much for me, and it's the only hotel we've stayed in where you don't get any bottles of water.

Both Lynton and Lynmouth are beautiful villages with many shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s lovely to just walk round in the evening too. There is the added bonuses of the vehicular tram and a cute independent cinema. Lynton is between Minehead and Barnstaple, so you can easily get to anywhere you would like to go in between. It’s a perfect central location.

Our room was very clean and welcoming. The bed exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom clean & very spacious (loved the heated towel rail). Breakfasts were delicious and a good variety choices. Hosts very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Loved the home grown honey. Sinai House is in a good location and is a great place to stay when visiting north Devon. We requested a room with views and were not disappointed - lovely views of the Bristol Channel and Wales.

Very comfortable bed, lovely clean room, excellent breakfast , the yoghurt with muesli and berries offered as a no charge extra was yummy. The home made marmalade was to die for! Probably the best breakfast dining experience I have ever had. Phill and Ness went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable, such a lovely couple. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Rockvale house as a base to explore North Devon .

The Crown Hotel was a lovely place to spend an evening. The room we had was huge with a four poster bed which was very unexpected. The location is lovely in a beautiful quaint Devon village, the staff were friendly and the bar area provided a nice place to relax and have a meal/drinks.

This small boutique hotel of 8 rooms was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. It was sited near the Cliff Railway giving access to Lynmouth as well as Lynton high street. An ideal get away for a few days break as a mature couple.
