I had a great overnight stay at the East Dart Inn. Travelling across the fog-bound Moor and arriving at this ancient coaching inn was a real delight. The (reasonably new) owner and the staff were all very helpful in catering for my dietary needs - nothing was too much trouble. The bar where I had dinner was beautifully decorated for Hallow'een, adding to the atmosphere. Again, my gluten free requirements were well catered for at breakfast the next morning. The surrounding moorlands are breathtaking - all in all, a terrific stay.

Breakfast was good - willing to cook almost anything. Continental choice good. While it is listed as Dartmoor B&B, it is upstairs in the Forest Inn - an old but lovely coach inn. They are just uphill from a marvelous small stone bridge and stream area. There is a bar downstairs but the noise was not a problem. It is a great location - near the center of Dartmoor.

My room was relatively small but absolutely fine for one person. The bathroom and shower were great except that the shower cubicle really does need a shelf or somewhere to put the supplied shampoo etc. whilst showering.
This hotel sits on the quiet southern slopes of Dartmoor National Park and is 20 minutes from the center of Plymouth. It has views across the South Hams to the sea.

Excellent breakfast, lots of options and delicious.
Very calm and beautiful location with excellent views.
Friendly staff.
lovely and friendly village. Cafe, shop, garage, pub an so much more. Also only 10 min drive from Tavistock or out onto the moor.
We only spent a couple of days exploring the local area, but managed to fill every minute with museums, local attractions, city walk and so much more.
If you want a stay with everything you need in walking distance from your door. Or you want to explore the moor and local towns, this is the perfect location.
Dog friendly and wonderfully tranquil. highly recommend.

Weather was atrocious, but that just showed Dartmoor at its bleak and brooding best, stayed at the East Dart Inn in Postbridge, wonderful staff and accommodation. We have been to this area several times over the years and hope to come back many more times as somehow nothing changes but there's always something new to see.

The room and facilities were very good.
The room and facilities were very good. Lacked a little information in the room in my experience. Friendly staff except for one lady who I think was in charge. The food was ok as I had an evening meal there. Good selection of beers and drinks. Lots of character and outdoor seating. I would have rated much higher but for the attitude of 1 member of staff. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

The village of Buckland Monachorum is just outside Yelverton. Yelverton is no great shakes but Buckland Monachorum is a pretty village with a really good local pub serving pub food of a very high standard. During our stay, which was at the end of lockdown, the pub provided us with takeaway meals which was a real treat.
We have stayed here a few times before. This is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The food is very good.
This is also a locals pub, servicing a small village, right by one of the best parts of Dartmoor. But this doesn't mean it gets too noisy, and it is certainly not unfriendly.
They are very dog friendly too. But the rooms do not smell doggy, unlike some places.
If you are visiting the Yelverton area, this is the hotel I would recommend.
Beautiful cottage in tranquil surroundings. The cottage had everything we needed for our family while we stayed there. Lovely clean cottage and the Hot Tub was brilliant and was all set up and prepared by our host. Steve (host) was very friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. We will definitely be back to the Dartmoor Linhay when returning to Devon!
Briardene cottage is just stunning - such a beautiful location in its own little hamlet! The cottage is well equipped with everything you need - the attention to detail by the owner is perfect - fresh cupcakes and hot chocolate upon arrival was perfect for our girls! It’s a great location to go and explore Devon.
The hotel provided quality dinner and a good breakfast. It is located next door to the Dartmoor National Park visitor centre, but it is based in a very peaceful location. The double room was spacious and offered everything we need for a pleasant overnight stay.
Agent eventually paid for additional cost of alternative Hotel accomodation, but, without any discussion, refused our claim for adequate compensation for cost of eating out in restaurants rather than having the lower cost alternative of Self Catering.
The Rosemont was in an ideal location for me to visit friends and family. It was easy to find the hotel as just off the roundabout with parking outside.
The room was compact but perfect for 1 person and had good facilities.
It was in a lovely quiet place but not to far to travel to lot's of places close by in Devon and Cornwall
The cottage was very good very clean every thing you need for your holiday
It was an amazing house. So comfortable. I was visiting a friend inYelverton Resident Home which was close by. Thank you for the scones. Will recomend Hectors House.
