Everything was spotlessly clean in this beautiful B&B, sitting on top of the world. Breakfast was delish and allowed for customization of breakfast for folks with allergens (wonderful GF pancakes and crumpets). Their gin bar was a really fun addition. Highcliffe is perfectly located amongst Lynton and Lynmouth. You can easily walk into town or take the charming water-powered tram between the two towns. Robert and Richard were stunning hosts are were readily available all times of the day from directions into town to local recommendations. Cheers!

Wonderful big English breakfast served with a smile and interest. Loved the location and personal attention to preferences. The building has thick walls and so internet was not possible in the rooms. But internet is possible in the pub and entrance lounge/outside seating at front door.

North Walk House, hotel in Lynton

North Walk House in Lynton provides adults-only accommodations with water sports facilities, a garden, and a bar.

The room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely. There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by Rebecca who was warn , cheerful and friendly we were made to feel welcome immediately. The hotel is tastefully decorated with fine furnishings. Our room was superb and with a sea view. Prior to our arrival we had already had a three course lunch so unfortunately, we had no room to dine in the evening. Our breakfast was amazing and upon our check out we were able to speak to Steve. He was pleased with our comments and we ended up chatting about all sorts of things, that’s what we call friendly. We will definitely be going back at some stage and would highly recommend the North Cliff Hotel

Views are wonderful from everywhere! Lots of places to visit close by such as Cliff railway, Valley of rocks, Glenlyn gorge It had been on my list to visit for a while and I truly can’t wait to go back!!

Good location for the many walks near by.

Good location for the many walks near by. Not many places to eat in the evening if you didn't want to drive any where. Lack of toilets for public use. You need to be quite fit to get the best out of Lynton as it is very hilly. People are friendly which was very good. I would recommend the Crown Hotel for food and good service.

    We really enjoyed Lynton.

We really enjoyed Lynton. We walked from our hotel in Rockford and enjoyed a pint and great fish and chips on a quiet, out of season Sunday. I imagine it's a different proposition in the Summer, but we prefer places like this when it's a bit quieter.

Lynton/Lynmouth - vey nice area. We hiked from Lynmouth up the hill - going right to pub 'the blue ball inn' - then on to Watersmeet - from there up the stream to Rockford Inn and then down to Lynmouth again. Really nice walk!

The property is in a peaceful location with beautiful sea views and everything you need for a perfect getaway. Well situated for exploring Exmoor and the North Devon coast. The accommodation was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the property was warm and clean. Nice patio to sit out on in the evening with a glass of wine and enjoy the views. Within minutes walk of local shops and the cliff railway. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We would happily stay here again if we were in the area.

A lovely older hotel which, whilst it needs a bit of TLC, made for a very enjoyable weekend. I slept well, had a clean room, comfortable bed, and the staff were lovely. The hotel was quiet on a night so I could relax and get off to sleep. I was sorry to leave and will return here again. The hotel is in the centre of picturesque Lynton, a stunningly beautiful place. Travel on the cliff railway, visit the Valley of Rocks, an easy and lovely mile's walk from the hotel, and take in the views of Countisbury Hill from the churchyard.

My room had a stunning view of the church and coastline. It was clean and as described. The hotel was also brilliantly located–I was able to trek out to the Valley of Rocks directly from the front door! There were also several restaurants and shops close by. I was a bit worried about Wifi, as I was working remotely while traveling, and was not disappointed. As of Oct 2022, the connection was strong enough to sustain Zoom meetings with multiple participants (I did not screen share, but suspect it would have worked all right).

Great location in Lynton, very close to the cliff railway so excellent for both Lynton and Lynmouth. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat (and advising to book in advance) and when we asked for the best walking routes to the Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet, they talked us through it and gave a map. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order, high quality ingredients with great choices.

Wow you don't find places like this very often. Immaculate 5 star service from start to finish and the most comprehensive breakfast choice I have ever had the pleasure of choosing from. A very imposing three story house in a prime position with commanding views over the Lynton and the coast beyond. The bed and mattress were heavenly. Robert worked really hard at all times to make the stay a comfortable and safe one. Thank you very much indeed.

Breakfasts were cooked to order and very tasty. A great venue for outdoor activities straight from the door. Hosts and staff were very nice. Seated outdoor area with views of river. Interior of the pub was proper old world Exmoor and local beers and cider on offer. We would recommend a visit, book if intending to have food.

location is superb, easy access to the coast path and an easy drive to Exmoor. Breakfast was great, excellent quality. As a vegetarian who dislikes meat substitute products I often find problems when eating out, but not at Longmead House. The best breakfast I've had when away for years.
