Excellent value for money for a location that's only an hour from Edinburgh.
Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, fruit & yoghurt, Tea & Coffee, as well as the traditional full English or elements of.
The bedroom was modern and well fitted out and the majority of the wall sockets had USB charging points.
There were additional pillows in the room if you needed them. The mattress was firm but very comfortable.
The bathroom had an overhead shower which lacked a little in power but still got you clean.
The bathroom was notably spotless - no mould at all.
The room was cleaned every day of our stay with fresh towels provided and the tea & coffee condiments topped up.
The bar / restaurant served a variety of good wholesome food in adequate sized portions and all reasonably priced.
Set in 120 acres of scenic Fife countryside, Kilconquhar Castle Estate features a heated indoor swimming pool and horse riding facilities.

We only arrived in the evening, and left next morning so we didn’t have time to explore. We ate the best meal of our trip at the White Cockade restaurant.

Good facilities for a longer stay as house had everything you would need - washing machine/ washing line provided.
Charleton golf course well worth playing and good value. No Clubhouse yet as being constructed but looks good for future visit. Also some interesting looking chalets to rent.
Elmwood golf course also worth a visit and good catering and good value for money.
Very central location for travel to Crail, Elie, St Andrews etc.
Village shop and BP garage and shop so everything available. No restaurant/coffee shop in village but alternatives close by.
Main Street in the village is quite busy with traffic but it is a main road for the area. Parking outside property was always available.

Colinsburgh is quite small with a local shop for any emergencies. It is very well situated for the beautiful villages along the Fife coast with Leven one way and the East Neuk the other only short drives away. St Andrew is only about 20/25 minutes as well. Falkland is very much worth a visit as well. All in all it it ideal for exploring this area.

A perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of the Fife coastline. There is so much so explore - Elie and Earlsferry beach - where we saw cricket being played on the beach. We walked part of the Fife Coastal walk and visited the fisheries museum at Anstruther - well worth a couple of hours - it was fascinating. antruther is famous for great fish and chip shops - I would recommend The Wee Chippy - the best of the bunch.
