    Dear Sir/Madam, If you arrive from Piazzale Roma, you can take the water bus n°1 direction to Rialto and get off at "Rialto Mercato" and from there is just 5 minutes walk to Locanda Poste Vecie. We remain at your disposal Best regards

    Not all rooms overlook a canal but 7 rooms do: 6 (including Quadruple and Superior Double Room) on the Rio de le Becarie while the Superior Double Room with View has a glimpse of the Grand Canal and the historic Cà d'Oro building

  • Hello I am flying into Treviso airport and staying at your hotel in November what is the best way to get from airport to hotel xx
    From Treviso airport you have to take the ATVO bus direct to Venice. Once you arrive in Venice, Piazzale Roma you can come either on foot in 20-25 minutes or you can take boat 1 and get off at Rialto Mercato. The Locanda is 2-3 minutes from the stop

The hotel Locanda Poste Vecie is located in the most Venetian heart of the city, at a stone's throw from the Rialto Bridge. Once home to the old post offices of the Serenissima Republic, it is perfect for visiting the historic center (especially the lively districts of San Polo and San Marco) and it offers classic, elegant and quiet rooms, thanks to its position in a secondary street.

Neighborhood info

The surroundings of the Locanda are very lively, especially in the early hours of the morning, when the market is colored with sounds and voices of the real Venice and the stalls display the vegetables of Sant'Erasmo and the typical fish of the lagoon. The designer boutiques are just over the Rialto Bridge, on the Mercerie that lead to the San Marco district, where one of the most beautiful squares in the world awaits you, surrounded by monuments and museums of immeasurable historical and artistic importance: Basilica of San Marco, Palazzo Ducale , Loggia del Campanile, Procuratie with Marciana Library and Correr Museum. A less touristy and equally (or perhaps more) fascinating Venice is on this side of the Rialto Bridge: in the labyrinth of lanes around the Locanda lies the delightful Campo Santa Maria Domini, enclosed between medieval buildings with the typical Byzantine windows. A 10-minute walk and you arrive at Ca' Pesaro, a splendid and rare seventeenth-century palace in Venice. It is the seat of the Museum of Modern Art, which collects one of the most important collections of modern and contemporary art in Italy.
