Location was great for the Jersey City Marathon and to nearby restaurants. It also had parking if you are driving. The inside exceeded expectations.

Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again.
Jersey City - I would stay in Newport, Jersey City again. I've stayed NYC but would only stay in Jersey City in the future. Jersey City is clean, modern and reflects the calmer side of life rather than getting caught up in the noise of NYC. Great transport links to NYC by PATH, ferry and bus.
The shopping mall had some great restaurants and eateries offering rustic bread sandwiches, salad bowls and ramen bowls.
There's an Indian grocery store on 10th Street offering THE VERY BEST Indian food I've ever tasted. It's a must do while you're in Newport.

We decided to stay in jersey city after a day in New York as it was very quick travel and got us closer to Liberty State Park for the next day. To find a hotel with free parking and access to our car was key. Not having to drag your suitcase down the streets from your payed parking spot was a nice luxury to have. Jersey city is only 6 miles from midtown Manhattan and 6 miles from Liberty state park. After the statue of liberty, Jersey city has a KPot which is a must try or go if you've been before! AYCE!!!!

If you want to visit Manhattan every day the PATH (basically a metro, going to Jersey) is the way to go if you will use public transport.
BUT! If you are a foreigner check first how the foreign credit/debit cards work (or better to say how they are not) with the ticket wending machines.... they are funny things and usually do not accept cash.

We actually visited NYC for most of our stay, but it was a nice convenient option to balance the cost of staying right in the city, and easy access into the city. The people in the area (beyond just the hotel staff) were nice, friendly, and helpful. Enjoyed the stay!

For me as a visitor from Europe Jersey City is the perfect place to stay when visiting NYC. On one hand you have this marvelous view of downtown Manhattan - on the other hand you have a lot of shopping options at the nearby mall within Jersey City. Taking a boat trip to Manhattan and back is wonderful. Jersey City is a lot less stressful than Manhattan as a place to stay overnight. I love it here.

It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC.
It was a great cheaper alternative to staying in NYC. We were going to a concert at the Brooklyn Steel pier so with traffic it was about 40 minutes to get there on a Saturday night, but we hung out in Brooklyn for a while before the show. In the morning, we went to Liberty State Park and saw the Statue of Liberty and a 911 memorial (you can take the ferry from this park to the Statue of Liberty) The bathrooms at this park were very well kept and the whole park was big and beautiful. On the way back home we stopped at Wonder Bagels which was crowded but worth the wait. Lots of shops around and it looks like a lot is being done to enhance the area.
Clean and large room. Very comfortable bed and good drawer and hanging wardrobe storage space. Good lighting and good air con.
Good sized clean bathroom and over bath shower, though bath tub shallow and not suitable for a good relaxing soak.
The hotel was in a great convenient location, easy short 2 min walk to both the Path and the Light Rail network. Giving 20 minute access to New York city and up and down the Jersey City neighbourhood respectively.
3 minute walk to Hudson shorelione with spectacular City Views of New York skyline.
It was right across from the PATH train that you need to use to get to manhatten. It was clean and neat.
The rooms were nice and comfortable. Modern and clean. Big enough for our family. Lovely views of manhatten and a nice "home" to get back to after a busy day on manhatten. I would recommend a stay here in Jersey City over the busy manhatten for a family.
You have to visit the CITY DINER in walking distance from this hotel. Amazing food, people and ambiance
For this price it is the best option to explore NYC.
Price includes breakfast (what wasn't written, but always great surprise), it's basic but ok.
There is also free shuttle bus from and to Newark Airport 7.30 AM-10.30 PM - just ask the hotel about that
Hotel is just 5 minutes from PATH station, from where you can easly get to Manhattan.
Room was spacious and comfortable. It's not new, but clean and walls were refreshed.
Wifi was working properly.
Fantastic location in jersey city, which has easy access to the Path train to Manhattan. In the surrounding area of Jersey City just 15 mins walk to the main area where there are restaurants and bars.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the beds are large. It’s all kept very clean and the showers are hot.
We arrived very late and there was still someone on check in desk.
Also liked the added touch of USB ports on the plug sockets by the bed.
The room was fine, large enough for five people. The bathroom was suitable with bath/shower, equipped with soap. The hotel offered also a small gym and swimming pool (do not forget your swimsuit!).
Location is great, a few metro stops from Manhattan, metro station just next to the hotel. And the view over Manhattan is amazing, nice walk along the river to enjoy it.
The hotel is close to the PATH station (~10 minute walk) and 1 stop from New York. There are some restaurants close by and a Bank of America ATM.
The rooms were decent, but we were out visiting most of the time so we used them to sleep and shower. There was also a fridge, a cooking stove and some plates, glasses and cutlery available.
The hotel us of a high standard. Clean and cozy room, hot breakfast and free parking. The staff is very friendly. We came a bit earlier and the manager let us check in earlier as the room wasn't occupied. The facilities in the hotel are great! There are a lot of opportunities to get to New York city center.
The food quality was better than other hotels recently visited. The location seemed a little schetchy because it was on a very busy highway and around what seemed to be industrial sites but the facility was clean, well maintained and secure.
I really like and appreciate how Room service was provided for our room. They made sure each day our room was cleaned. This happens at a very few hotels and I absolutely love the fact that Ramada values cleanliness a lot.
The hotel is very nice and it's really easy to access the city by subway. I felt safe at all time. Very nice breakfast options. Good value for the money you pay. Thanks to the friendly staff! We had a really good stay.
The hotel is very clean and neat, very clean bathrooms, nice rooms with good kitchen, good wifi. It is very close to Path Metro and very close to the Indian Street.
good value for the money. good location if you will stay outside Manhattan.
2 metro station near the hotel 10 and 15 min away.
late night train could be an issue
