Riverside Meadows Cabins, hotel in South Fork

Offering discounted golfing at Rio Grande Club & Resort, Riverside Meadows Cabins is located on the banks of the Rio Grand River.

Cozy cabin right on the river, unique decor inside of the cabin. Wish we could stay there with some company of friends, make BBQ, spend time outside etc. Since we were on the road trip and had plans for every single day, didn`t really have chance to properly enjoy this great location. Drinking coffee in the morning outside and watching geese playing in the river was awesome, even though we had some real chilly mornings. My husband loved it so much that for days now he`s been talking about having our own cabin just like this one :-)

This is a quiet little town surrounded by mountains.

This is a quiet little town surrounded by mountains. A lot of serenity & quietness, very relaxing. There was a pizza place across the street from Rainbow that was awesome & had very friendly service. They were the only place open at 7 pm. The restaurants close too early and some businesses were not open on Sunday.

    Filthy floors, bathroom and microwave.

Filthy floors, bathroom and microwave. Railing on porch that was disengaged from porch floor could have caused SERIOUS injury if someone had leaned on it. A person would fall 4 feet and into gravel and a large log. No paper towels, hair dryer or bar soap. Fans that were provided were caked with dirt and dust.

A relaxed and friendly town. Judith at the visitor center was unbelievably kind and helpful as well as Ezekiel the manager of the rainbow lodge. They went above and beyond in every way. I will definitely be back!

South Fork is a small mountain town but has the essentials covered. It is a gate way to exploring the San Juan and Rio Grande forest. The best thing I like about it is the access to Wolf Creek Ski resort. It's only a twenty minute drive and the highway rarely close for avalanche mitigation.

We use South Fork as a jumping-off spot to go other places.

We use South Fork as a jumping-off spot to go other places. There is not much there at South Fork. The area is beautiful which makes up for everything else. Dining choices are limited. Ramon's Mexican restaurant is pretty good but the wait is long. Two Rivers BBQ makes good hamburgers. I can't speak for the rest of the menu..

    Spruce Lodge advertised BBQ dinner.

Spruce Lodge advertised BBQ dinner. When we went for early dinner we were told they were out of BBQ meat including any chicken products. We ended up eating deep fried fish and cold slaw. Not even close to what we imagined... Had great experience at Tiny Timbers for breakfast. Great food and ambiance. Wait staff was excellent and helpful even tho very busy. Great boutique next door. Highly recommend this place!!

Very nice staff; offered to help us unload upon arrival. Very nice co-occupants in the park. Very nice recreation building for activities. Community BBQ grill. Nice shade trees since there is no a/c in cabins. Upon packing up & leaving, I did get a head to toe assessment & "look" from the lady in a newish, white mercedes who parked within 20 ft of where I was parked. She proceeded to the rec bldg after applying lipstick.

We loved our short stay at Ute Bluff Lodge. The front office was extremely friendly and personable, and we loved the little touches here and there that were accommodating and fun. The location is very convenient and the room was very well kept and clean. We'd definitely recommend staying here and will absolutely be back again if we ever need another stay in South Fork. Thank you!

It was a cute and comfortable little place. Kitchen was well stocked and everything functioned well. It’s surprisingly quiet despite being on the main road. It is set back from the road near a cozy rock butte, in its own private setting. Fireplace warms the home nicely, and looks attractive too.
