If you are thinking about a trip to Halong Bay, do yourself a favor and cross the bridge to Hong Gai to find a great place to stay. It is only a ten minute Grab ride from the tourist attractions in Halong Bay. If you choose to stay at the Halong Boutique Hotel, you have made an excellent choice. It is a beautiful hotel offering very spacious and comfortable rooms at a fantastic price. The staff will go out of its way to see to all your needs and answer any questions you may have. I am happy that I and my partner chose to stay there.

The location is walkable to Sun World or just a short inexpensive ride with Grab. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained. The view from the room is beautiful and stunning. Nice and cozy place located on a hill. If you ride a motorbike, it’s a perfect choice, but can be hard to walk there every day. The room was clean, beds are soft, they provide us with towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrush. There’s a large tv in the room.

The hotel is located in the center of Hon Gai, near Vincom center and Ha Long I market. You could take about 10 minutes to walk to the beach. But if you want to go to Hon Gai beach, you should rent a motorbike. The staff is friendly. We arrived in Ha Long earlier than the estimated arival time but he helps us check in without extra fees.

    It is a big city with a lot to offer.

    It is a big city with a lot to offer. The draw card is the boat trip On the bay but the weather makes a huge impact on level of enjoyment. The day of our trip rained ALL day so the trip to the beach at the end was pointless whereas we would have liked more time kayaking as we were wet anyway. Chops and Hops had great food and drink, unfortunately the smoking at surrounding tables while we were eating was a hard no thank you. We used grabs to easily adventure around the city.

    The mountains are beautiful - but dirty.

    The mountains are beautiful - but dirty. The water was totally polluted and you could not swim in it . Every cruise ship empties their drainage and dirty water into the sea, every day for about a 100 ships. Really disappointing. There is no reason to go for more than one day, just to paddle and see the mountains. The cruise is very expensive and this tour is too inflated , overrated and over priced.

    We did a one day tour out of Hanoi, but decided to stay the night in Ha Long. I really do not recommend the one day tour on a boat. It was too crowded, one boat after the other, all going to the same places. We had to cue to enter a cave which is really not worth while visiting. My proposal would be to stay 2 days / 1 night on land, enjoy the scenery from the main land and enjoy the local life.

    I loved our experience on the Hera Luxury Cruise. Interiors beautiful. Mr. Minh was amazing. Staff all very helpful The food delicious. Ha long Bay exceptional natural beauty. Transport to and from cruise perfect thanks to Ms. Hanna Would recommend two nights.

    Our stay aboard the Genesis Luxury Regal Cruise was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, we were impressed by the elegance and comfort of the vessel. The cabins were spacious, modern, and beautifully designed, complete with private balconies that offered breathtaking views of Halong Bay throughout the journey. The service was consistently warm and attentive; staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well cared for. The itinerary was thoughtfully arranged, giving us the opportunity to explore caves, kayak through serene waters, and take in the natural beauty of the bay, all at a relaxed pace. Dining onboard was a highlight, with fresh, well-prepared meals served in a stylish setting. While there were a few minor areas where the experience could be fine-tuned, such as smoother boarding logistics and slightly more variety in the menu, the overall stay exceeded expectations.     We spent the first day going to the sunworld park and cable car it was a short walk down to the main street after arriving around 11am. The hotel helped us with booking a 4 hour from 2pm to 6pm 2nd day and a 6 hour from 12pm to 6pm 3rd day Ha Long bay cruise. we are now waiting to head to Sapa around 10pm which will take about a 7 hour drive to arrive around 6 or 7am. The price was fair and the staff spoke decent English which made everything easy.

    Golden Palm was a great stop off point for us before we went onto our Ha Long Bay Cruise. Phuong at reception was lovely! She made sure we were always happy and gave us recommendations for food and also booked our bus to Ninh Binh. She was so helpful! The hotel room was very big and the bed was super comfy! Good selection for breakfast too! We loved our stay and would totally stay again. Thank you Phuong for making our stay memorable :)

    Fabulous experience from pick up from hotel to cruise - very professional. Cabin on board exceeded our expectations, this is the cruise to choose if you visit Ha Long Bay. The staff were excellent and even Provided an alternative starter when I expressed my dislike of squid. I did not want it to end - you must enjoy the luxurious bathroom and take a bath whilst watching the beauty of Ha Long Bay through the large picture windows.
