We had a really great stay at this hotel. The check-in process was smooth, and the room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff, the receptionists both of them were too good, i am really sorry, I forgot their name and the housekeeping, service staff, were also helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Highly recommended, and we would happily stay here again.

Cozy hotel in the heart of the Old City. Cleanliness is on the high level. Free tea and coffee 24/7, also they served us a fine breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff, a place to converse in the lobby and on the rooftop. Brilliant view of the city from the rooftop. The hotel is located near the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at the border of the Christian and Muslim quarters with the view of the Dome of the Rock.

I see why Jesus turned over the money changers tables.

I see why Jesus turned over the money changers tables. The gates of the Holy City are nothing short of tourist traps. Very pushy vendors. Barely a moment or place of reverence. If you don't hold Jesus in your heart, you'd barely find Him here... :-(

Goes right into the Muslim quarter.

Goes right into the Muslim quarter. But to the right is a little sliver of the Christian quarter, with a tiny little bar/restaurant. You can sit there a drink a beer in a paper cup and watch everyone head to prayer.

"Great experience staying at New Capitol Hotel. The best part is definitely the location—it made exploring the Old City so easy since it's practically within walking distance to Damascus Gate and Herod's Gate, plus public transit is just nearby. The rooms are tidy, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning works perfectly. Special thanks to the front desk and staff for being so polite, accommodating, and always ready to assist. Would gladly book here again on my next visit to Jerusalem!"

I loved the view of the ancient city of Jerusalem. The hotel entrance into the old city is the Damascus gate. Not far to the hotel.

St Thomas Guesthouse has an excellent location just a few minutes walk from Damascus Gate . Almost everything of interest in Jerusalem ins within walking distance. It is quiet, the staff are kind and helpful and the rooms are small and basic but comfortable. It is also rather reasonable in price for this very expensive country.

We had an excellent stay. We got a big, spacious room with attached bathroom. The linens were snow white, the room was spotless. The decoration and furniture were a bit basic, but fully functional. The breakfast was decent. The staff was friendly and attentive. There is a small parking lot, if you’re lucky, you will be able to park there. The Damascus gate is about 10 min. walk from the hotel and the Tomb garden is even less. We enjoyed very much and definitely will stay again

Right next to Al Aqsa, located in the old city and only a stone’s throw from the Holy Sepulchre, Western Wall, damascus gate, bus stations, and everything else in Jerusalem. A really unique original building with a long history, you can truly feel the old city in this location. Amazing and kind staff who are attentive and happy to help with getting around. Overall it was a perfect pick for me in Jerusalem.

Beautiful family-owned property with wonderfully decorated rooms. Amenities were plenty. On site Garden Restaurant has exceptional food and drinks (you won’t want to go elsewhere). Location is minutes from the Damascus Gate— an excellent location to explore the Old City. More than that, the owners and staff are the kindest people you will ever meet. They kept us safe and comfortable during the initial days of the Iran-Israel war. Definitely worth returning to.
