Bellwood Manor is immaculately and faultlessly furnished with an excellent staff. Every detail is designed and brilliantly executed. The food is brilliant with an excellent chef. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. It is a sheer pleasure to spend time at Bellwood Manor.

Cannot possibly recommend this place highly enough. This is THE PLACE to stay in Sri Lanka and the owners are the absolute best people. The place, and the hosts are all amazing and this is easily the best value for money we received in Sri Lanka. The owners, Roshan and his mother are the warmest people who entertained all of our requests with unwavering patience and Roshan was kind enough to give us time to make us comfortable at his rooftop. The hotel was clean, well organized and comfortable. The weather was cold and the room had heater which was very nice. The staff were friendly and polite, and really devoted to help us with every need. The breakfast was good and when we left early for a hike they packed it for us. The room have incredible view on the valley, and the location was very quiet.

    It's an English style park - and not a particularly good one...

    It's an English style park - and not a particularly good one. If you've travelled from UK you've probably got one just as nice in your home town. For the entrance fee you do at least avoid the main road for some of the walk from Gregory Lake to the town centre.
