I loved everything in this hotel. The staff was fantastic, the cleaning lady was so kind. The location is excellent, you can go walking to the main places in Downtown Vancouver. We asked for help to scheduling our whale watching and the Concierge not only made the reservation, he warned us about the day with the best weather conditions for the tour.

I love coming to the Hotel BLU! The location is super central, the staff is always friendly and helpful and there are a lot of amenities. The laundry service was a game changer for me! We stayed here during our honeymoon and the staff, especially Amy was absolutely amazing. We’ve got an upgrade to a room with a breathtaking view and a sweet surprise with a card. The room was very clean, big and comfortable. We also tried the Big Beach Lounge and the food there was exceptional good and Libby our waitress there was such a friendly and lovely person. Thanks to the awesome staff for making our stay in your resort so special.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the building had such a great energy about it. Our room was lovely, beautiful wallpaper and decor. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were so soft. As well the house coat fit perfectly, they are usually small on me and I appreciated the big comfy housecoats after a nice soak in the jacuzzi bath with lovely bath salts. great stay!

Loved everything about this hotel! The room was very big, little balcony, kitchen. The bathroom was great, big bath and separate shower. Everything was very clean. Parking bit confusing when arriving. You need to check-in first and then the gate to the parking garage will open. Plenty of room to park. Location is great, waking distance to city center. Loved it here, would gladly book this again!

We've stayed at the Watermark before, and loved the location. We get a suite with a view of the Lake. The facility is always very clean, and has everything we need. It was winter, but we could see people enjoying the very large hot tub, We had lunch at the Watermark restaurant, and really enjoyed our very tasty meal. Our suite provided lovely bathrobes and the beds were exquisitely comfortable.

We really enjoyed the Secwepemc Museum. It was a little complicated to find and the museum is not big but well presented and organized and easy to navigate. The stories of the culture of the Secwepemc people, government involvement, and the boarding school were all well told and illustrated. The small gift shop had some interesting material for sale.

This wasn't our first trip to Nanaimo so we did know our way around most of the city and beyond, but it is always a great place to be. We love the well planned Harbour walkways, many events in the parks, the beach trails. Our favourite beach walks are Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. There are many good music venues, restaurants, scenic drives and walks. We easily found side roads that were basically parallel to the highway to get to and from downtown. Nanaimo has has a LOT to offer any visitor of any age! Can't wait to return!
