They made us feel welcome and relaxed from the moment we checked in. They gave particular attention to our little dog... Which she loved. The location is perfect for exploring Hungerford or the beautiful Download countryside. The hotel has everything you would need for a little break away. The cosy rooms are spotlessly clean and with good facilities.Guest review byLiamUnited Kingdom

We didn't visit Reading.
We didn't visit Reading. We went a day before and a night after to Hanley-on-Thames with children. It was hardly 20-25 minutes drive and it was great outdoor activities combo area with various playground/ bouncy castle and riverside walk, various options available for boat hiring/ boat trips. Parking is quite tight in later hours of day, so I recommend if anyone like to visit here, try to reach in first half otherwise all two car parks get full too soon.Guest review bySwati - 10.0

Windsor Castle is fantastic: hundreds of years of history, beauty and pageantry. England at its best. Great walks along the river and in Windsor Great Park. 15 min bus to Legoland. Plenty of bars and cafes in cobbled streets with outside seating. Wonderful.Guest review byAmandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Its amazing value for what I payed for very posh close to Windsor legoland the staff in hotel so polite helpful the only down side is you had pay extra for leisure facilities and the food was really expensive for people with not much money but overall I loved staying thereGuest review byCarolanneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The friendly staff at this hotel made our stay perfect.
The friendly staff at this hotel made our stay perfect. The hotel bar and facilities were excellent. I am now arranging a large party to stay here next year and enjoy the lovely hotel and well kept grounds. It was a joy to sit on the patio at the sports bar and enjoy the view if the grounds and lake. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff always checking your needs were Met. Can’t wait for our next visit.Guest review byJenniferUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love bracknell because of its lovely shopping centre. The fact that it's quiet and peaceful. It's close to Ascot which is a place I love. It's a train ride away from the heart of london, in less than an hour you're there. There are some lovely park there. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there.Guest review byTambini - 6.0

The front desk was terrible and gave us a downgrade on our room and then told us there was nothing that could be done due to being sold out and because we used Bookings.com. We complained, asked for the manager and showed the pictures on a Superior room from their website and on our booking. He moved us to a family room, but it had 2 double beds and two chairs seating vs a Superior room has a king bed and a settee and a desk. It was not what we wanted, but it was better than the standard room with a king bed (incredibly small room) that they tried to put us in.Guest review byTrinaUnited States - 2.0

My room was mid souterrain with a quite busy road at the level of and 1.5 meters from my window. 26 degrees Celcius in the room that could not be changed. Got a new room at the same level which slowly got too warm too. Breakfast OK.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It would have been helpful for the restaurant to have sent the account to reception for checkout. We asked if there was anything left to pay and were told it was settled via booking.com. Perhaps if we had been asked for a credit card at check-in rather then we would not have been chased for payment of the meal some days later. Despite this - the food and hotel stay were greatGuest review byMarkNew Zealand - 4.0
We came here in connection with my wife's work.
We came here in connection with my wife's work. There is no other reason to visit. Its a boring, unmemorable little town, made somewhat pleasant by its leafy character and the proximity of the countryside. There is more to do in neighbouring Newbury, but it too is flawed by poor town planning, busy roads and a poor quality cultural hub. The only place I really liked was Shaw House, which is used mainly as a conference centre, so that people interested in its history have to make sure its open before visiting.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
