Lovely, lively city.
Lovely, lively city. The Duomo Cathedral Square alone is worth a visit. Good, traditional Italian pizzas available near the Central Station at very reasonable prices. Public transport is excellent and quite cheap.Guest review byKoduvayurUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The old city is really nice and it is walkable.
The old city is really nice and it is walkable. The view from up there is incredible. There is plenty of paid parking available and there are a lot of signs. Be careful not to enter the non driving zone. My favorite place was the Basilica di San Alessandro, we went there the day prior to the San Alessandro's celebration and they were singing. We also saw the prayers at night time along the streets of Bergamo (in the old city).Guest review byMarioCanada - 10.0

It is a wondeful city with Ferries' pier, making it easy to reach and explore all famous cities of the lake Como (Menaggio, Bellagio, Varenna). One must be ready to wake up early, at 6 AM to buy full-day Ferry ticket. Once it is done, the Como lake can be explored freely with no need to stay in the queues.Guest review byVladislavItaly - 10.0

No question the most beautiful place to stay on lake Garda - we drove around the whole lake, and whilst there are other special areas with four and five star hotels, Sirmione is the most beautiful, and is the easiest to walk, enjoy, and find an enormous variety of first class restaurants at very fair prices.Guest review byJulianUnited States - 6.0

It really was an R&R stop as we were hiking the MTB and moving onto the Dolomites. It wasn’t really our type of place, the little towns up the coast were pleasant, unfortunately as said they were not our scene .. so can’t really comment for others ..Guest review byVanderput - 10.0

Having spent 311 nights in Limone you must understand that we like it and the surrounding north Lake Garda area. Last year it was selected as the most superb flower decorated town in Italy and at the international competition won the top five 'petals' in it's category of small resorts. The winter population is 1200 people but usually busy with visitors from the end of April till mid October. The only criticism this year is that I detected a cigarette end on some steps! Standards are slipping but the Mayor, Il Sindaco, was quite distressed. If in doubt just go and you will not be disappointed.Guest review byDuncanUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Hotel easy to find although there was some confusion at the airport as to where the free airport shuttle bus left from but perhaps the driver was just having an off day. The room was well equipped and spacious but we had no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were very helpful and friendlyGuest review byMargaretUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A must visit city, far better experience than over touristy Verona, for example. Many museums and sites of interest, laid back vibe at night , lots of restaurants with great variety of cuisines, mainly "locals" from suburbs or the old town, chilling in a very pleasant atmosphere, amazing historical buildings and Italian charm. Has all the architecture of "typical" Italy, but without the crowds.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful countryside and perfect for walking or cycling in the hillsides around the village, plus some really nice restaurants open late into the evening filled with people who all appeared to be having a good time. Also great to be able to do some duty free shopping.Guest review byBruceUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Bellagio is a beautiful place, though it can be quite busy and crowded. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an unpleasant encounter with a policewoman who was not friendly at all. We had just arrived and accidentally parked in a residential parking area. Despite our attempt to explain the mistake and our immediate departure, she issued us a ticket. On top of our already tight schedule, we then had to spend time figuring out how and where to pay the fine.Guest review byR YRCanada
