I have rarely experienced such a relaxing holiday! Normally I’m the active type who likes to travel around and discover new things – but at Riva degli Etruschi I found myself simply staying. With walks by the sea, swimming and windsurfing, I was able to relax deeply and truly recharge my batteries. A special highlight was the Maria Dune Restaurant. Hidden in lush greenery, almost like a small jungle, it creates a calm and magical atmosphere. The seafood was a highlight: exquisitely fresh, prepared with great attention to flavour and detail – a true delicacy that opened up an entirely new seafood experience for me. Equally remarkable is the director of the resort. With his warm, attentive and at the same time highly professional manner gives the whole place a unique atmosphere. You can feel how much it matters to him that guests enjoy a carefree and relaxing holiday. This spirit flows through the entire team, whose attentiveness and kindness make you feel genuinely welcome. I will certainly return!

I was left on my own and really wanted to explore much more than I did due to my husband being sick. I went down to the beach area and had a bowl of fruit and some sangria. That was wonderful! I don't travel like this so getting a taxi was a new experience. I think I could do it again. Some of the people were not the friendliest however over all I had a lovely time shopping and trying to communicate with people. None of the cab drivers claimed to speak English which is a bit crazy but I didn't learn Spanish either. I just wish our time there was a little longer so he could go out with me. I just wandered around and did get to see the Familia Sangrada (sp) which is a lovely church that seems to be perpetually being built. It is absolutely fabulous as is now. If you go looking for the Hard Rock it isn't a restaurant. Only a rock shop, I wanted to eat there and that was shocking when I arrived to no food.

It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed.

It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed. The room was two (!!!) 2 levels under the earth!. This is totallly illegal according the construction laws that exist in Greece!!!!!! Fire! Earthquakes etc you are DEAD next day! FOR ALL FOREIGN TRAVELERS : According to construction laws: HOTELS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE GUEST ROOMS (or even staff rooms) in basements, let alone two levels below the ground floor. The hotel rooms are classified as spaces of primary use and the basements 1st , 2nd are NOT spaces of primary use!!! and are strictly reserved for auxiliary and common facilities i.e parking areas, engine rooms, boiler rooms and storage spaces, staff changing rooms and restrooms. The room we were offered for accomodation completely violates the operating regulations of tourist accomodations. The room was payed beforehand but we left and with the same money (that was surprisingly unbelievable) we were offered a very beautiful room in Leonardo Hotel Athends City Center! I do not know the procedure and we are too busy even to write this review but the money must be returned and the hotel must be sued to th Greek nuilding authorities! Eleni Stroumbou

I personally did not enjoy Málaga in August.

I personally did not enjoy Málaga in August. It was extremely crowded, with a lot of tourists who seemed to be there mainly for the nightlife and partying, so for us, it didn’t feel like the best family destination. I was also disappointed with the food. Many of the restaurants seemed very tourist-oriented, and you could really notice the difference in quality compared to other places we visited in Andalucía. The city itself is pretty, but in my opinion, there are other cities in Andalucía that are much more beautiful, less crowded, more affordable, and where we ate much better. We had a far better experience in Sevilla, Granada, and Córdoba. Málaga may be a great choice if you’re looking for nightlife and a very lively atmosphere. In my opinion, I would not visit the city again.

It is an amazing city with beautiful architecture but ZERO cleanliness and VERY crowded area's. The city center is a nightmare, the food is very poor, everything is ultra loud and scooters can run over you everywhere. But, it is an experience that it worth overall. Would I do it again? NO.

It's a wonderful city, I prefer it more than Barcelona or Madrid (no offense). The best places to visit are the Bioparc, the Torres de Quart and Serranos, the museums in the City of Arts and Science, especially the Oceanográfic. All the botanical gardens are beautiful too (although Monforte would need some maintenance to shine). Try to be cautious of the restaurants in Placa de la Reina, as some could be overpriced and don't have that amount of quality. I've enjoyed Atmosphére (French restaurant) near the Torres de Quart and a family run taco business, La Comadre Taqueria near the also fantastic Café Saint Jaume. On the beach, La Divina Comedia Playa has also awesome food and staff. Valencia has an awesome public transport network which you can use with the 1, 2 or 3-day tourist cards, though the buses sometimes arrive late or don't show up at all (be cautious that only bus 32 goes from Las Arenas (Eugènia Viñes - Mare de Déu del Sufragi stop) towards the inner city from the evening, still Google maps indicated 95/92 from that stop, but hey didn't come). For those who love to explore a city with a bicycle, it's a great city to use those, but keep in mind, the use of helmets are mandatory!

Nice is a great place to start.

Nice is a great place to start. You can spend a few days on foot very local, checking out restaurants, beach clubs, Old Nice, and other walkable sights. I will go back and use Nice as my homebase and go to more beaches and locations up and down the coast. I did take an afternoon and go to Saint Paul de Vence and it was worth it. I would have like to have done more of that but I didn't want to miss out on the sun on the beach, walking the Promendade des Anglais. I could have found 2 weeks worth of activities and other places to visit.

Benidorm is a lovely place to visit if you visit the ld town and Altea. There is plenty of entertainment, though the same music plays in most venues on repeat. It is value for money and if you look about you can find some decent restuarants. The strip is fine and I have never seen any trouble there. People young and old can enjoy themselves with the fun atmosphere. Seafront lovely

Palermo is a historic city buzzing with life.

Palermo is a historic city buzzing with life. It is essential to explore the city's churches, visit the Ballarò market, and head down to the harbor. You can find many great restaurants, but don't necessarily focus only on those on Via Maqueda. There are plenty of great spots hidden in the side streets.

Palma is a great city for a weekend break or a longer holiday. If you're staying for a short break, there is lots to see and do: the cathedral, Miro's studio, the Museum of art, Santa Catalina for the foodie places, plus if you have the money to spare you can spend a relaxing day at a beach club. From Palma it's easy to get to other great destination towns via public transport. We've visited Port Soller, Port de Polenca and other attractions. Mallorca is a beautiful island with welcoming people. A great place to get to know.
